So it's exciting for you too right now...
I've already got the appointment in. Next Tuesday we can already go! Super fast. Until then, it's exciting....
Does anyone have an idea what I can expect from the first intake? -

Lizzy, it's tough when you really want to move forward and the options are sometimes limited, but the physical discomforts that come with it are real! I hope you find peace with your decision. Good luck deciding.
Wow tos07, that's super fast, how nice!
We had a first intake where we both had to send in a long questionnaire a week before our appointment at the clinic. There were a lot of questions, and the doctor referred back to some of them during the intake. We were both weighed and measured the first time. I also had to get my blood drawn again, and that's when we got the results. We also got a better explanation of the sperm analysis that our GP had already started, which led to our referral. I had an internal ultrasound too. And, of course, we shared our story—how long we'd been trying, etc. That's how our first conversation went. It might be different at other clinics. -

Lizzy, how are you doing? Have you been able to find some peace for yourself yet?
Bloempje, it's indeed happening all of a sudden very fast. I've decided with my partner to get everything ready in case we're faced with that choice. How are you doing otherwise? Are you holding out for the extra weeks? -

Good morning. I was really disappointed yesterday because the MS (multiple sclerosis) flared up again. We've tried a lot, even alternative treatments. Nothing helped us; we've been at it since March 2016. Tests have already been done: my internal ultrasound was fine, and my husband's sperm was initially poor but improved significantly after alternative medicine. But now, half a year later, still nothing. This afternoon, my GP called me about the referral. Super stressful, and today has been a real low day. I need to pull myself together quickly and I'm really anxious about what's going to come next. We had hoped so much not to have to go through this process. -

J27, we all have those days where we feel down, and that's totally okay!
I understand how you feel... we went straight for a referral and are scheduled for the intake this coming Tuesday. As the date gets closer, I find it harder and harder... I'm back to thinking about it all the time... pff -

We all have those dips... and that's totally fine. It's such an intense process, so it's really good that you're here.
Some days will be better than others, even when you're in the thick of it.
I'm going through it too. Today is my 10th day. I've had cramps for a week now after the IUI. I can tell I'm also really focused on it right now. And yesterday was such a low day.
It's exciting, tos07, I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully, you'll be just as warmly welcomed as we were. -

Tos07, we're allowed to go to court already on Tuesday. Really quick, which is nice once the decision is made that we can. Now it's weird because I've got brown discharge and that's always the start of my period. But now it's only brown discharge. I don't get it.
Bloempje, understandable. It's definitely exciting, hopefully a nice test later on. And that your dream comes true. -

J27 wow that's fast. But indeed, it's really nice when you can get help quickly.
Your body can play tricks on you, right?
Hopefully, our dreams will come true soon for all of us. All this waiting and uncertainty is really tough for all of us. -

What a sweet little flower.. I myself am still being very careful... if I count, I'm now at 4 weeks + 3. This afternoon we're going to the hospital. I'm completely shaken up.. No idea what I should do next. Also very anxious that something might go wrong. -

Totally get it, tos07. T is still so young and anything can happen. Good of you to go to the zkh anyway. Hopefully everything goes well and you don't have to go through the zkh process, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Rooting for you... let me know what they said at the zkh? Lots of success this afternoon! -

So we were outside again for 10 minutes. Immediately told them we were pregnant. The gynecologist ran some calculations and basically concluded that we should have continued without treatment for another half year anyway. The chances of getting pregnant naturally are too high. And it turns out that's true. Hopefully everything stays in place. -

Lizzy, it's definitely special. Almost 5 weeks pregnant now. So crazy.. I was so focused on the appointment at the hospital that I didn't think about this situation at all. Now I have so many questions.. I think I'll just call the doctor tomorrow. So unreal.. and I don't dare to hope too much yet.. the fear that something will go wrong is so big.. it's all so difficult.
I hope it can happen for you guys soon too! It's so deserved for you! -

Tos07, I totally get how you feel and really hope that stays with you. But I also understand your anxiety so well.
Lizzy, I get your feelings too. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you're thinking about how it would be if it happened next year out of nowhere.
I still haven't gotten my period. Today I'm supposed to test with first morning urine. I'm really torn on whether I should do it or not. I still have period cramps. I'm so scared that the test will be negative and that I'll get my period tomorrow after all. -

I just tested with Yoch... the test is negative. So let's just wait for my period to come. We can try again after the next round. -

Little flower, hopefully your period has broken through now. Such a downer every month.
Here we go, from one emotion to the next. Last week we decided to go to the hospital for help because I thought my period had started. On Tuesday we found out we were pregnant and since last night I've been losing a lot of blood. Especially when wiping. Bright red and really a lot. Now waiting until I can call, I'm so scared that something is wrong. -

J27, that's awful! That's really a rollercoaster indeed! How did it end? -

Anonymous. I had to wait. Lost a lot of blood all day, less so on Saturday. Took a pregnancy test and it was negative. So I had a miscarriage. Still having abdominal pain and brown discharge. Having a check-up on Oct 31 to make sure everything is clear. Has anyone here ever experienced a miscarriage? When does your cycle usually return? -

I was J27, what incredibly shitty news! Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about a miscarriage. But there are surely people here who can!! Big hug
