How nice to read that there are still so many young mothers here!

Exactly the same here, let them chatter and add their question marks. As long as you stand by it yourself and your child can be happy with such a young, flexible mother with much more energy than a 40-year-old mother! -

I'm 22 now, and I'll turn 23 a month after my son is born. My husband will turn 29 a few months later.
I've also gotten the reaction 'Was it planned?' 'Oh, so early already?'
I've been married for almost a year now, and it was definitely planned.
Being a young mom appealed to me, and my husband didn't want to wait any longer either, since he's approaching 30.
I'm proud of my little family, let them think whatever they want! -

Here’s a young mom too
I’m 20 now, the baby is due in a few weeks already and I’ll be 21 around that time. Since I turned 19, my partner and I really wanted to have a child, but because we were mostly afraid of other people’s reactions, we waited. A few months after I turned 20, we just couldn’t wait anymore ;p! And luckily it worked right away, and since then everything seems to be going well, I’m so happy with it! Can’t wait for our little boy to be here!
We’ll all be celebrating birthdays around the same time, my partner’s birthday is actually a week after mine and he’ll be 25.
We just couldn’t wait and that’s why we chose to go for it early. When you get older, everything is physically much more demanding with a little one. My mom had my sister when she was 46 (a wanted accident!), sure that’s still possible, but she often says herself that it’s just a lot more difficult overall. -

Hi Karolina,
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy!!
I think age doesn't matter that much. If you can provide your child with a stable environment, that's much more important than a number... If you both feel good about it, that's fine. People always have something to complain about.
I had my first child when I was almost 31, and immediately people started saying I should hurry up with the second one because of my age.. Pff hello, let me enjoy our first miracle, maybe we don't even want two at all.
Now my eldest is almost 3 and I'm almost 12 weeks pregnant with number 2. I'm already hearing various comments from my surroundings.. From "Oh, how nice for you," to "Finally..." and even people saying it wasn't planned so well, one in diapers and soon at school, and you're stuck with a baby again.
See, there's always someone to comment. Rise above it, live your own life, and ENJOY!!!!
Best,
Laura -

Totally agree! The most important thing is that the baby is wanted and that there's good care for them! -

Hey,
I wouldn't let it bother me either.
I'm 18 and already expecting my second.
The first one wasn't planned but was very welcome, and the second one was definitely no accident!
Super proud mom! Whatever they say. -

I had a miscarriage/early birth at 19, around 20 weeks (not healthy)!
When I was just 24, I gave birth to my son!
Now 25 and pregnant with the second (just around my birthday and my son's birthday)! -

Oh yeah, and unfortunately those comments are also a daily occurrence here! Even to my 29-year-old boyfriend! Sooo tired of it sometimes! Everywhere you go, daycare, in the city/baby stores, and even in the hospital! -

I'm 22 and my boyfriend is 35. People keep asking if it was planned! Well, yes, of course! I'm happy about it and can't wait to hold my miracle in June! Let the rest of the world think whatever they want. I know we've got everything good for each other and can give our child a good, loving life! -

hi hi...
I had my first kid at 22 and my second at 24... and now, almost 40, I'm having my third... and you know what, it's never right... first you're too young, and now... a borderline case... nice word, huh? oh well, I don't care! we're happy and that's what matters! right? -

Enjoy it.
I’ve realized it doesn’t matter how old you are.
I had my first at 23, my second at 40, and I just feel young about it.
I’m much more relaxed now, I know what I want better, and I make time for my little one.
All ages have their own advantages; it doesn’t matter for your child, I think.
And let the people around you chat all they want—you’re interesting enough, otherwise they wouldn’t do it

I was 18 with my first one, which wasn't planned but very welcome. Now I'm 23 and pregnant with my second little one.
I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
I'm very happy with my life and my lovely family.
No matter what others think.
Love, Kim -

Here I was, 20 years old, pregnant with my first. Now I'm 25 and we're expecting our 3rd sprout in August!! People think you're crazy when you have a whole family at such a young age, but I say, when I'm 35, the oldest will be 14, how great is that
And I'll be a young grandma again, haha -

Hello young moms.
I'm 25 myself and a mom to 2 lovely boys. My oldest is 2 years and 4 months old and my youngest will be 1 next month. I don't understand why people always wonder if it was planned. What's the difference? You're pregnant and you're having a baby, which means there's plenty of love!
What I honestly tell other moms is: if you're already a mom and your child is still very young and you want a second one or you "accidentally" get pregnant, look carefully at your situation and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Two in a row is tough! But also a blessing.
Good luck with your pregnancies!
Greetings, proud mom of 2 -

Oh my, it's so relatable that so many young moms have gone through the same thing. I had my oldest daughter when I was 19, and this pregnancy felt like hell. I just couldn't enjoy it the way you're supposed to. I had to hide my belly to avoid those nasty comments!! And I had to swallow so many mean remarks. Bah, just thinking about it gives me chills down my spine. The worst thing someone threw at my head was that we'd soon hear that a baby was found in a container. Well, sorry, but you don't say things like that! People are just like that. I had my second daughter when I was 22, and even now, people give me weird looks when I'm out with two little ones. Pfff. Now I'm 28 and pregnant with my third, and I'm enjoying it fully with my girls. It's wonderful to hear them say, "Mom, you make us the happiest girls in the world." No matter how old you are, it doesn't say anything about your personal responsibility. I'm glad I could share this. Greetings, xxx -

It would be so nice if people could just leave each other alone! Seriously. -

I wasn't finished yet, the keys are too small I think haha. So I wanted to say that you might wonder if it's really for you to start dressing a baby in baby clothes too early. I'm convinced that people who make well-meaning comments at that age weren't ready themselves and can't put themselves in someone else's shoes. I wasn't ready either back then, but who am I to decide for someone else? Everyone should be able to enjoy their pregnancy regardless of their age! -

Totally agree with you, mamamar. Luckily, I haven't received many nasty comments. When I gave birth to my eldest son at 23, maybe they didn't even notice because they always assume I'm much younger. I'm almost 28 now, and I still can't buy a crate of beer at the supermarket without having to show my ID.
Ladies, enjoy your pregnancy and your little wonders
and let the rest of the world chatter; they don't know what they're talking about anyway.
