Do you still shave down there as the due date gets closer?

I have an appointment next week to get waxed. I can't shave anymore and don't find it pleasant because it grows back so quickly. I think it's better this way because after giving birth you'll still have bleeding, and I'd rather keep it clean.

I always shaved here too... Even right before my delivery, coincidentally;-) Miriam really? With me, the first time it was an emergency C-section but they came with a pack of razors... I thought they had some plans but there was nothing to shave because I had already done it at home by chance..haha..
What Ju says, just use a mirror and otherwise your partner....I know they don't look at how you look and they see all sorts of things...but I think it's totally nothing..;-)

    Hi,
I've thought about that too. For now, I don't really have any trouble shaving, luckily!
But in here and in a few months, it'll probably get a bit harder, I guess...
I'll try to find a way to keep it tidy, I'd really like to look a bit neat on the delivery table!
    Greetings, Vanessa

I don't see what I'm doing anymore either. So I just trust my gut. I still shave because I'm going crazy from the ticklish feeling when it gets longer. So do what you want!

    Hey Hayat,

I actually want to do it too, get waxed. I usually do it every 2-3 weeks, but since I'm pregnant I haven't dared to anymore!

Just because I'm afraid to get so red, because it still hurts for me when they pull! Now I want to try it anyway before the birth, did it work out for you? Didn't get any hard contractions or anything like that?

    Greetings Naïma

    @Olivia Anna,
Oh yes, it's nice to have all that intimacy, glad your man is doing it for you now..
It's still working out pretty well for me too, but definitely by feel..
Doesn't matter anyway, I think my zone is pretty bare, hehehehehahaha but yeah, better than a hairball...

Soon we can do it ourselves again..

    Love, Ju

Now at 33 weeks and I’m still doing it myself, hehe I can’t stand looking at it anymore, but I just go by feel.. I’m not going to ask my partner haha, he’d go crazy; he doesn’t have the patience for that But he always says it’s fine down there, so I’m pretty sure it’s good. He wouldn’t hesitate to say that if it weren’t I’d also feel a bit ashamed having to lie on the delivery table with such a huge bush of hair! (I actually know my midwife personally) and it would be pretty weird haha... Besides, it’s such an annoying feeling when it’s a bit too long

    Love

    Hi hi,
I also just shave myself by feel. With my previous birth, I gave my husband such a sweet look, and he ended up doing it for me at the last minute. And believe me, we had a good laugh about it hahaha.

Here too, going by feel, but what a mess, I can barely fit in with that big bump in the way.
My partner wants to help too, as well as my legs, which are completely exhausted.
But I still managed to do it myself, he’s busy enough already.

My legs are doing pretty well, one day under the legs and the next day above the thighs haha I do the pubic area by feel. It's going great, I have to say!!
  11. Mommy92 #31

My belly isn't big enough yet that I can't reach it, so every few days I just shave it off (though I've been doing it by feel for a while now!). When I first got pregnant, I assumed I'd leave it alone once I couldn't reach it anymore. No shame in that for me or anything, just au naturelle . The only thing I worried about was whether it would start itching or something haha. But now I'm already so far along, if I can't reach it at some point, I might just try Olivia's tactic!

With my previous birth, I was induced. Just updated everything on the day itself. Even though it doesn't matter to them, it's purely for myself. Keeps it fresh...

    Hi!
I'm already laughing just reading your stories about how your partners do it. It would probably be the same for me :-) Normally I shave a few days before my period with a women's electric shaver, and now that I'm pregnant, I can't really manage it anymore and find it so gross. That's why I'm still looking for a solution to remove hair before the delivery because just the thought of the blood gives me goosebumps.

    Cheers!

That's indeed really tough. I'm now over 34 weeks and can barely shave my legs and pubic area anymore; it's just not happening.
I do a bit of stunt work by putting a stool in the shower or asking my partner to help, but it's such a hassle...

Anyway, I have something similar. She doesn't have much hair, but she's used to more hair and finds it gross too.
    I normally shave super often.....

I'm 30 weeks now... So far I'm managing on my own, but my partner suggested we do it if it doesn't work out anymore. I'd like to keep things clean down there...

I go by feel, it's really tough but it's still going okay, hehe
  17. Shoegirl #37

    I also go by feel...

I also go by feel, and if needed, I’ll ask my husband for help... he thinks it’s totally fine to do so..!!
  19. suzan #39

I'll let my partner do it. He's a bit busy at the moment, but that's okay. I find it lovely, kind of like being pampered.

I’ve now had waxing done twice at a salon, everything down there, including my legs and underarms. Ideal! I’m thinking about doing it this way from now on instead of shaving. I’m 39 weeks now, and tomorrow I’ll have everything waxed one last time before the birth, so it’ll be neat for the next 4 to 5 weeks. :-D
