Do you still shave down there as the due date gets closer?

Hi everyone,
I have a bit of an awkward question, but how do you handle the hair in the pubic area when you're heavily pregnant? I can't reach it anymore to shave it myself. I've heard from some that they just let it grow out, saying "there's nothing nice about it anyway, and no one will notice during labor," but still...

Haha, what do you mean it's annoying? I shaved right up until the last moment... Just went with the flow, you know... Or you could do it with a mirror....
My sister had her boyfriend do it, but I was in the hospital, and now you want us to jump in the shower together?? Good luck!

Hihhi, I also go by feel...

Even though no one notices, I don't think it looks great if there's a patch of hair missing... With a little bit of pegs, it doesn't work out after birth either....

Haha, I did that too by instinct, and when my labor started, I quickly washed everything under the shower between contractions because I thought, before I know it, I might not be able to, and at least I won’t have a big belly hanging around. Good luck!!!!

I was dealing with that too because I really couldn't see it anymore myself.. I did it by feel just now but if it doesn't work out for the birth, I'm not worrying about it..
whether there's a lot of hair or little, the baby is coming out anyway

    Hi ladies,

I still shave myself daily, though I do it with a mirror since I can't see anything anymore. I also have my partner check if everything's gone, and I'm definitely planning to keep this up until the very end.

So I'd say, GO FOR IT!!

I still just shave myself too, you know! I can't see well enough anymore, so I do it by feel or with a mirror, but I don't feel like having such a dirty bush of hair! I'd be ashamed of it and don't find it fresh!

My partner lets me shave all that hair off, and it itches so much, bah!!

I also shave my bikini line just by feel, the rest really doesn't matter to me! And during labor, they really don't pay attention to that, I promise! I once had my boyfriend do it, but we were laughing so hard that I said, forget it :-D

You can also get it waxed at a salon a week or two before your due date. And if you're away from it for even longer, you don't have to mess around with razors, foam, and mirrors yourself

I shave every other day and I'll keep doing that, just squatting and shaving, even if I need a mirror :-D

I tried it myself, but it was such a mess. Now I let my partner do it :-D He doesn't mind doing it at all ;-)

For now, I’m still managing to do this myself pretty well, although it might not be as perfect as before.
At our hospital, they do this for you when you go into labor. Purely for hygiene reasons.

Hihi, so relatable! I’m still doing my best to keep things smooth. But I’ll see how far I get. If it doesn’t work out by then, oh well! ;-)

I had a week’s worth of pubic hair left after my previous pregnancy, and I’m super happy about it in hindsight. Especially since I had a C-section. The midwife thought it was nice for everything to heal properly that she could make sure the hairs wouldn’t grow inward into the scar.

And I’ll be honest—they really don’t care how it looks. They see plenty of bottoms every day, and it all looks different anyway. I wouldn’t want a thick bush either, but I don’t mind one or two weeks’ worth of hair.

I find it really awful to shave now; I can't see anything anywhere.
But I think it's even worse if there's a bush when I have to give birth.
I'll start working on it again tomorrow, but since I can't see anything, it takes me half an hour quickly.
My partner wants to do it for me, but he has no patience for it.

I'm not there yet, but hearing it like this...
A razor with gel already applied before and after the blades is so handy!! (Venus Breeze)
I haven't had any mess with foam and all that for 2 years!!

I can't reach it myself anymore, so I'm having my partner do it. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant with my third, and I also don't find it comfortable that there's a big clump of hair on it.

I don't really like that bush of hair either. I used to always shave it, so why would I suddenly start leaving it now? My boyfriend does it for me because I can't stand looking at it anymore. A little mirror would work too, but I find that so fussy. And I don't dare do it by feel either! I'm scared of cutting my own skin.
