First natural period

Hi everyone,
My name is Femke, 31 years old, and I'm new here.
I'm hoping to pick up some experiences here.
I stopped taking the pill in August because we want a baby, and 8 days after my stop week, I suddenly got my first natural period. But now that I have them, I have more pain with menstrual cramps, nausea, dizziness.
Is that normal? Who else had that? Who also got their period so quickly after stopping the pill?
I should mention that during my last visit to the gynecologist in June, she did say she could see that my pill wasn't working as well anymore.

Hi Femke and Laura. That’s tough with the symptoms. I once had a quick cycle like that too and was really wiped out from the nausea. My midwife said your body just gets startled by the hormone fluctuations. The pain can look worse than usual. Listen to your body and get some rest. If it really isn’t going well, give your GP or midwife a call. Strength to you both!
