When is the fertile window?

Hi, quick question. I have a cycle of 32-33 days. When would my ovulation be roughly? And does my cycle count as long, or is this still normal?

It's a very normal cycle. Your egg would be around the 14th and 20th day of the cycle.

    Okay, thanks!

My partner and I have sex every other day. Does that affect sperm quality?

@kira every other day is perfect

@KIRA having sex too often isn't good. My gynecologist advised me to have sex every two days; he said that doing it too often wasn't good for sperm quality. And we did it every two days, and only around ovulation, and now I'm pregnant.

@gemma it's often only advised against in case of reduced sperm quality; otherwise, it doesn't matter how often you do it

Can you guys give us one more tip? We've been trying for a few months already, and I told my husband, "You'll see, I'm going to be pregnant in March (during the 40 days)." We're Catholic and participate in the 40 days leading up to Easter. So during that period, I eat normally, just no soda and nothing with sugar, like cakes, cookies, chocolate, etc. My husband only ate fresh vegetables and fruit, including fresh juice. With my son, I was pregnant during that time, and I think it really does have to do with that—how healthier, the better. Now it might be hard for you guys, but it's worth trying, especially with the beautiful days ahead, to eat healthier during your fertile week and avoid anything unhealthy. Just give it a try.

@gemma thanks for your tip, but I'm already doing everything that can possibly influence fertility

Gemma, I do believe that healthy eating helps, just like exercise. If you feel good in your own skin, you're more into sex and more likely to get pregnant!

Our trick was mainly about technique; we only did it from behind. That's why it worked for us, especially because it goes deeper that way. And the man has to stay in for a minute if you know what I mean!

Elvira, how are you doing, sweetheart?

    @cella I'm on day 7, so bored

Elvira, so you can now still do your own thing in a relaxed way, right? What’s the plan for this month? I’m cheering really hard for you, I really wish it for you!
  12. Elvira #13

@cella I've already tried all sorts of things so I'm not going to do anything special
  13. Cella Guest #14

Elvira, you're right too! I'll definitely be rooting for you. Have you had it further investigated yet?
  14. Elvira #15

@cella my husband's sperm isn't good, even too bad for IUI, but he doesn't want any further tests because we already have two little miracles, so we know it can work

If you really want to know for sure, I’d suggest using ovulation tests. Here’s a cycle of 30-32 days, but I only ovulated 9 days before my period. So I would’ve been way off if I hadn’t used them.

Hey! I was supposed to get my period on April 19 or 20. I took a pregnancy test today (April 17), but unfortunately, nothing. Is this too early for a test? We're on our 4th round now. I've already bought ovulation tests for the next round because I'm not sure when I saw my ovulation—I have a cycle of 32-33 days.
