First time

Tnb
Hi, I'm tnb. I just got married, and my husband and I are trying for our first baby. Since it's our first time, I'm still not fully aware of everything. That's why I'm asking questions and searching online on various forums. In July, I decided to stop the pill. We felt it was time to start a family. But I have to be honest with you: the first time didn't go quite as planned. I mean, testing too early and ending up with a false pregnancy. Now, after my next period, we've started again with full conviction. But I'm curious to hear your opinions and experiences. My last period was on October 7th. We had intercourse around the 14th and 17th. I noticed that my ovulation occurred on the 20th. Yesterday, my husband told me I had a bloated belly. I'm really curious if it worked this time. How did it go for you? I can't wait to test and see if my period actually misses this time.

    Hi there,

If I were you, I'd start trying at least a week around your ovulation. With just 2 days, the chance isn't really that "high." I don't think that bloated belly has anything to do with it, unless implantation has already taken place.

    Wishing you lots of success!

Maybe an app on your phone could help. I used MAYA & Flo. They help you track your cycle well and also indicate when it's best to have intercourse.

    Greetings

I agree with Stefanie. If you want to increase your chances, you really need to have sex more often than twice a month. Every other day around ovulation. And even then, it can take a long time.
