Hi everyone,

I'm 18 years old, studying childcare, and living with my boyfriend in a nice big row house.

We really want a baby and are wondering if now is the right time.

My boyfriend has a permanent job and earns a good salary as a manager.

I work part-time and get a modest income since I'm still at school.

So we earn well and have a big house.

What do you think?

Finish your studies first. Having a kid while studying is tough. Besides, you should decide for yourself when you want to start having kids.

I was only 16 when I gave birth to my first child. I was in Mavo 4 and never finished school after that.
If I could turn back time, I’d definitely wait until I’m 22 or 23!
Finish your education first, then maybe look for a job, wait another half year (from experience, I know that if you tell them you’re pregnant after 3 weeks of working, you’ll just get fired), and then start having kids.

Enjoy your freedom as much as possible!
