Like, not nice at all

I was wondering what I'm doing wrong because I only hear and read that breastfeeding is a blissful feeling and a blissful moment between mother and child, but I dread the next time my girl wakes up to breastfeed. I can't relax; as soon as she latches onto my nipple, I feel like jumping off the ceiling because of the unpleasant sensation. With my first daughter, I didn't enjoy breastfeeding either, but I stuck with it for 2 months despite having a lot of reluctance because it's healthier for the baby. Now I'm trying to keep it going as long as possible, but maybe I'm doing something wrong that makes it so unpleasant for me? Any tips?

Went to the child and family clinic today. The little one has thrush in the mouth, and I probably caught that infection on my nipples too. Got some cream, and normally it should definitely be better within a week.

Good that you sought help... it's really not nice to carry around around... luckily (and hopefully) you'll be rid of it soon Good luck!

It might not be easy at first, like giving breastfeeding
but it's mainly the thought in your heart that your baby is
the only one who gets what makes it so special to me.
My oldest girl was also often restless at the breast, that wasn't easy either, but I still went on.
Because I thought I was doing it for my baby

It always gave me an emotional goodbye feeling when the maternity leave ended.
But I was happy to be able to give my kids what they needed.
I breastfed the oldest for 5 months and the second one for 7 months.

It's only once in your life that you can give your children something so healthy and good for the bonding between mother and child

I’ve started pumping. Putting her to the breast just wasn’t for me. I was so worried about her waking up and wanting to feed again that I started getting used to it, so there was really enough for me. Now that I’m pumping, I feel much better too.
And she still gets the good part of me that way.
And I can’t breastfeed for long anyway. I have to go back to work in mid-August, and I work in a place with very harsh chemicals, which isn’t really ideal to pass on through breast milk.
