    Hi Cecilia,

    That's great, congratulations!!!!

I completely forgot to go swimming this morning... how silly, I just saw here that I was supposed to do that.
Good luck with the 20-week ultrasound.

    Best, Dani

    hey dani
    thanks a lot
  3. Tana #123

We also had a great 20-week ultrasound. A girl/sister on the way! It’s going to be a lot of fun with two girls!
  4. Dani #124

    Hi Tana,
    Congratulations on your second girl!!
We don’t want to know what it is (well, I secretly do, but dad doesn’t), so we’re just waiting “patiently” until it’s born.

Here on January 7, 2013 Today I have to go back to the OB-GYN, I'm really nervous..
I've been for check-ups twice now, and every time everything was very positive. The OB-GYN said that only my placenta could be a problem at the moment. It's still too low (that was at 16 weeks)

Today I have to see her colleague for a check-up (I hope it goes just as well!) and then I'll know whether a normal delivery is possible or not.. I'd really like to give birth in the outpatient clinic (home birth isn't an option for us) so it's all quite exciting at the moment!

    Greetings.

    Hi Caroline,

Good luck today, I hope you can go into labor naturally!

    Greetings, Dani

    Super, all those great ultrasounds!!
We have our 20-week scan on Monday. Papa would really like to know what it is, and mama would find a surprise nice. But well, papa won

@Caroline, I hope he's in a good position now and that you can deliver naturally.
  8. Tana #128

I was also up for a surprise, but in the end I couldn't hold back my curiosity The dad wasn't from the start...
    Caroline, did everything go well?
  9. Bolletje86 #129

    Hey girls!
    How are you all doing?
    Today I'm 20 weeks and 3 days

Everything's good here! We had the 20-week scan last Thursday.
Everything was completely fine and and and.....we're having a GIRL!!
    So happy!

After the visit to the midwife, we immediately went into town and went shopping

Our little rascal can be felt well nowadays... dad can't yet, but I hope that'll change soon.

The nursery furniture was delivered last week and is of course already assembled

Now just a nice 2-week vacation!
Enjoying the pregnancy and catching up.

Have any other girls had their 20-week scan?

    Greetings,
    Bolletje

We were also due between January 14 and 21, 2013
    Counting down can slowly begin!
  11. Dani #131

Nice that the topic is being brought up again, I had completely forgotten about it!
    Welcome and congratulations!!

    How is everyone doing?
Lots of drama here, the baby needs to be operated on after birth but everything has been fine so far.
I'm doing well, enjoying my belly and the pregnancy!!!
Going to the hospital every two weeks for check-ups, and we're being looked after well.

    Greetings, Dani

    @Dani,
Did you send an email? It's nice that your topic is coming back up.

Well, girl, I'd love to hear from you. How are you doing?

    Love, Ju
  13. Mommy-Of-Nyana #133

Ah yes, I once looked around and found the due date everywhere... until I suddenly came across January Congratulations on your pregnancy too!

Everything's fine here... I'll have a check-up in two weeks and next week it's the first time with the physio. I'm curious to see how it goes

Oh my, what does your little one need surgery for after birth? That must have been quite a shock... It's so good that you're being followed up so well!

Hopefully you can still enjoy your pregnancy to the fullest!!

    Lots of love, Daphne
  14. Dani #134

    Hi Daphne,

Glad to hear everything is okay. It says "first time physio," what is that?

Our baby has a condition in the duodenum (12-fingered intestine) and will definitely be operated on within 2 days after birth. The food can't pass from the stomach because either part of the intestine is missing or there's an obstruction. They'll only know for sure during the surgery.
There's also an increased chance of Down syndrome, but we won't know until birth because we didn't want further tests due to the risks.

But despite everything, we're still enjoying our pregnancy and are grateful for all the medical help we're getting. We're definitely startled after bad news each time, but we just keep going—we owe that to our little one, and we're so happy no matter how he/she looks or is.

    Kind regards, Dani
  15. Mommy-Of-Nyana #135

oh that's so sad... but it's great to hear that you're going into this with so much love! I really think that's awesome! I'd do the exact same thing! Yes, it's a prenatal and postnatal physio They help train your pelvic floor muscles and give you exercises to prepare for childbirth, as well as exercises you can use after birth to strengthen your abdominal muscles again.. It's 9 sessions and fully reimbursed by the health insurance. It's not mandatory, but since I already had problems with my pelvic floor muscles as a little kid and always had to stop and start urinating to train my bladder, I think it's a really good idea for me to do it.. Especially since I now have to go to the toilet every hour and really need to go, otherwise it causes problems And that's not so nice, of course, right

So let me know when you've given birth and how everything went! Of course, only if you're feeling positive, because there's still a long time to go. Wishing you and your husband lots of success!!

    Love, Daphne
  16. Tana #136

Hey girls, has anyone given birth yet? It's really starting to feel closer now!
  17. Anonymous Guest #137

Hey Tana, I'm still nicely round, but I'm only 35w + 5d now, but it's definitely getting closer. How are you doing? Do you still feel good and is everything ready for the birth?
  18. ramona5 #138

    oops.. I wasn't logged in
  19. tammi #139

Hi everyone, I'm almost 37 weeks now, so just one more push.
The last few details are the hardest, right? Valies is all ready here though.
    How are you all doing?

    Love, Tammi
  20. Tana #140

I still have everything from the first one, but I need to figure out what else I might need. I also don't have a card or a name yet... Especially the last one will really become important. But I'm hoping for mid-January - I was due on January 4th.
