Around this time I was also due!! It's all so exciting! How are you feeling?

I assume the last 3 posts are about January 2012? I'm due then too. I don't feel much yet Just some rumbling in my belly.
  6. Ikke #7

Yes, in my case it was also January 2012. Congratulations! I also have very little of it, and occasionally a wave of nausea or rather 'I need to eat something', and sore breasts.
    Lots of luck!

2013 indeed! Phew, that sounds pretty far away . Has anyone had an ultrasound yet?
  11. Susan Guest #12

Me too :-) I'm mostly nervous about the first ultrasound... still 2 weeks to wait

    Hi,
I'm glad I can join in. Echo at 6 weeks and a little heartbeat.
We hope it stays that way because after a miscarriage in March at 8 weeks, we're a bit unsure.
I was pregnant again right after my curettage.
We hope we can stay here Congrats to everyone!

No, probably not until 12 weeks

    Hi Dani, congratulations!

Your GP will probably refer you to a midwife. You'll only be referred to a gynecologist if they expect complications based on your history or age.
  15. Dani #16

    Hi Esther,

    Thanks so much.
Well, I'm probably 40 now (just turned 40) and I had complications with my first pregnancy 16 years ago.
Back then, they said I should give birth in a hospital for any subsequent pregnancies.
My first birth was at home, but given what I went through, I'd definitely choose a hospital birth now.
I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow (luckily a day earlier) and I'll find out then.

    Best wishes

Hi Dani, that's exciting! 16 years ago, phew, that's half my life :-)

It's exciting. Do you want to have it checked by the gynecologist or would you rather go to the UK?
  17. Dani #18

    Hi Esther,

Haha, half your life sounds nice and it makes me feel old right away.
Well, I am 40 (just) but I don't feel that old.

I'd rather go to the gynecologist, I think it gives more peace of mind regarding age and medical history.
Although I did find the atmosphere at the VK nice, going to the gynecologist seems a bit more clinical to me if I convey it that well.
But the best for the baby and me is what's most important.

Do you go to the VK?
  18. Dani #19

So first it's the UK, and then I'll see what happens next.
I got a call this afternoon, wow, that took forever!
