Hi Tammi,
Thanks a lot, good luck to you too!!
Hi Renate,
It took a little while to find your lovely message, but suddenly it popped up somewhere in between.
Murderess hehe, nice to read! Thanks for your message, and I wish you lots of luck tomorrow and on the 30th. -

Hi Dani and the rest,
Never nice to hear news like this, but keep in mind that a 1 in 50 chance still means the baby is completely healthy in 49 out of 50 cases. That's 98%!
Margy, my due date was originally January 6, but they adjusted it to January 4
So just barely missed it!
Most people are now past the 12-week mark, so hopefully the discomforts will start to ease up for most of you! Now we just need some nice sunshine to enjoy the summer even more.
Take care! -

Dear dear Dani!!
I've been thinking of you a lot
What terrible news, but you both have such a positive attitude
...nothing but RESPECT for you !!!
With positivity you can achieve a lot....keep that in mind.
A bit bad to mention now but.......
Last Tuesday we had the combined test.
The nuchal translucency was fine (1.7 mm) and on Thursday we got the blood results: no increased risk!
Last Friday we went to the midwife.
Everything is completely fine! The uterus is growing well so there's more belly coming
I was also worried because I've lost "quite a bit" of weight due to the nausea.
The midwife said it wasn't a problem but that I'm not allowed to lose any more weight now.
Of course we also heard the heartbeat.
I got a few tears in my eyes....AMAZING!
Dear Dani, I'm thinking of you!
Take it easy and think of yourself
Love,
Bolletje -

Hi Bolletje,
What a super result for you guys: congratulations!
And I understand why you wrote "a bit bad to report" but it's no big deal, I'm really happy for you both.
Oh my, I hope you won't lose any more weight, but how are you supposed to do that when you're feeling so nauseous all the time?
We decided not to tell anyone about the result here. On Friday I'm going back to the hospital, and I'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again—it really is amazing.
I'm feeling fine, except that I'm actually feeling much more tired right now, which should be less after 3 months?
I didn't have much trouble at the beginning, but now I feel kind of wrecked sometimes haha, I have to drag myself forward.
I'm on night shift tonight, 4 nights in a row, and I'm curious how they'll go.
I already hate it, so it's just counting down! -

Hi Dani,
Yeah, I thought the same about the first 3 months, that you'd be tired then.. But no, I sometimes feel completely drained, it's not normal..
Some say it's due to the weather.. Always those mood swings, then warm, cold, rain, thunderstorms, not normal...
I hope your energy levels get recharged too, have fun on Friday at the baby clinic..
Good luck with the night shifts, you'll get through it, right.. Pick out some nice things for Otje
Love, Ju

Hi Ju,
Yeah, who knows, it might be the weather again?
I'll go look on MP tonight for maternity pants, there's no shop left in the area that sells them... not even Miss Etam here anymore.
Too bad, I had a shopping spree, couldn't get rid of my money hihi.
Gonna have a little "pre-sleep" soon and give the little one some rest, she'll have to stay awake all night then!! -

I went shopping for maternity pants on Monday and had success at H&M (you don’t need to size up too much) and Prenatal (you shouldn’t need to size down too much). Both had new collections in store for 40 euros.
Good luck! -

Good morning ladies,
I went to the midwife last week with my eldest daughter, who’s 14. And yes, we heard the heartbeat—you should have seen our eldest’s face; she asked, “Mom, is that the baby?” And I said, “Yes, sweetheart, that’s the baby.” It was really cool to see her reaction.
I’m doing well, and the growth is out of control. I had another talk with the midwife about the nuchal translucency scan, but well, I’m not due for that until July 30th, so we’re just waiting. The midwife expects my due date to be adjusted quite a bit, so I’m really curious whether I’ll actually be part of your January club or if it’ll turn out to be February.
Also, I’m sleeping terribly—just awful. I watch the clock every hour, and I wake up in the middle of the night from hunger. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. But then again, every pregnancy is different, right?
Congratulations to all the newbies here on your pregnancies!
Well, dear ladies, take it easy and enjoy the little miracle growing inside us.
Have a nice day everyone,
x RENATE74 -

So I'm back again... had a lovely 8 days in the sun in Greece... does a person good.
I've been feeling great lately, happy even. How's everyone doing?
Renate, that was super of you to reply
... I'm really curious if your due date is still going to be adjusted. Keep us posted. -
Dani #110
Hi Bolletje,
You're really busy with it, aren't you? Your post comes across as so happy too, it's nice that you feel that way.
I'm busy here too. Had a week of vacation, starting tomorrow I'm working for 5 days and then I'll have over 2 weeks of vacation again.
Went out with the kids for a day, now "kids-free" and doing quite a bit of chores. It's going nicely and smoothly together now, lovely weather, radio on, sunshine....
I have to say that I'm not really thinking about the annoying rash anymore. It comes up every now and then but that's it.
I/we are enjoying my belly and the pregnancy.
My 20-week ultrasound appointment is on August 31st and the week before that we're going to the UK, I was there last week and the heartbeat was super!
Only forgot to ask for a pregnancy certificate for my work, I'll do that next time.
Yesterday picked up a bag of clothes via MP again, nice to have all those clothes.
Got maternity pants at Lidl. Nice for in the evening, luckily I got 2 pairs, they fit great.
Greetings to everyone!! -

Hi ladies,
So today I went to the hospital for the nuchal translucency scan, and it was good.
Now we'll just have to wait and see what the blood test says.
Also saw the little one happily active during the scan, everything looked perfect.
The heartbeat was excellent, and he or she was thumb-sucking.
They moved the due date up by 2 days, so instead of 13-02-2013 it's now 11-02-2013.
So it's really going to be a February baby, and I won't be part of your club anymore.
But ladies, I'll keep an eye on you all.
Wishing everyone a beautiful and pleasant pregnancy, and I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's deliveries.
Lots of love, big kiss, Renate74 -

Hi Renate, it's so nice to hear that everything went well.
Yes Renate, the group is also for you.
We'll keep each other updated here.

Hey girls!!
How is everyone doing?
Many of us are probably already in the 2nd trimester... me too!
But I'm so curious how you're all doing...
Everything is good here! Growing nicely
Sorted and bought a lot of things
Next Thursday they're coming to deliver the baby room (already).
Last week we bought an Angelsound monitor... absolutely amazing!!
I want to listen to the heartbeat every day... so cool!
On August 30th we have the 20-week scan... so exciting... counting down the days!
I signed up for prenatal yoga... are you guys doing any courses?
I think it would be handy and well... it can't hurt
My midwife pointed out that the hospital is organizing info evenings, mostly about giving birth in the hospital (which is what we want), so I signed us up... this can't hurt either
Just 1 more week of work and then 3 weeks of vacation!! Time to relax and recharge!
Gotta grab a bite to eat, see you soon!!
Love,
Bolletje

Hi everyone,
Everything is going great here, the baby is moving a lot and I'm growing well too!
I also have the 20-week ultrasound on the 30th and saw yesterday that it's at 9 am, so that's nice, we don't have to wait all day.
I'm going to prenatal swimming for the first time next Tuesday hopefully. Let's see if I like it.
Today is the last day of my holiday, no worries, back to work for a bit.
I've had a lovely backache during my holiday (not) and hope that work might make it a bit less, nice moving around.
September 29th is an open day at the hospital for expectant parents and I'd like to go check that out too.
Enjoy your holiday Bolletje!

Good morning, today I am 19 weeks and 1 day pregnant, everything is going well, I can feel our little wonder moving already, it's such a nice feeling, on Aug 22 we're having our 20-week ultrasound, we're so excited and it's also early at half past 9. How are you all doing, is everything good too?

Good morning everyone, things are going really well here too. Our little one is moving around nicely and mom is growing and growing in size haha.
We have the 20-week ultrasound on Aug 27th and are looking forward to it a lot.
I'm not going to take a course, I'm busy enough and will just go swimming when time allows.
Vacation is over here and the kids are back at school.. life is back to normal. But there's a very warm weekend coming up...
Enjoy the warmth while we can, before we know it it'll be raining again and summer will be over.
@bolletje what a nice prospect for more vacation... enjoy it!
@Dani, yes at some point it's good to be done and you want to be able to do your normal things again (that's at least how I feel
)
@cecilia, oh the 22nd, that's already quite fast.. lovely, have a great time in advance. -
tammi #118
Hi everyone, I'm also due at the beginning of January. Everything is going well here, including with our little one. Next week we're having the 20-week scan, it's exciting for everyone, right? Greetings to all. -

Hi everyone, everything's good here too. My belly is starting to show, but I don't feel truly pregnant yet. I do have pregnancy symptoms (I'm even waddling around due to pelvic instability), but it all feels much more functional than during my first pregnancy. Does anyone relate to this?
I have my ultrasound next Monday and I'm really curious. I've had a lot of trouble with my asthma lately, and hopefully, it won't affect the little one.
I'm not planning to take any courses or information sessions, but I did during my previous pregnancy. I especially found the hospital orientation and the breastfeeding course very informative! Sometimes I consider doing some prenatal yoga.
Well, ladies, enjoy the beautiful weekend ahead, and hopefully, you're not holding onto too much water! That's not such a nice side effect of this wonderful weather.
Love, -
cecilia26 #120
Had a 20-week ultrasound today, everything is good and healthy with our little one, and we're having a son/little brother! We're so happy about it
