    Hi Dani,

You're earlier than me, I'm going to the gyn on June 18th... still waiting. We only did the nuchal translucency scan because we had a positive result. So no further tests... I've read a lot about it and looked it up on YouTube.. I'll hear from you soon.

    Hi Ju,

I know I went earlier, but you’ve already been to the GP, right?
I did get an explanation from the GP about possible tests and I’ve already been digging into it.
We should really talk about this here, I find it quite hard to decide what to do.

I just visited a nanny (mevrouw) to get some info.
I have to say it was very positive.
I’d prefer to look after our baby myself, but given our circumstances, it’s not possible to stop or reduce work.
This woman is quite "old-fashioned", lovely and simple! RRR and all that stuff.
It’s through a nanny agency, so everything is official. We’ve got a lot to chat about tonight!

First up, brown bean soup with freshly baked bread. I had such a craving for it this morning, and the weather here suits it too.

    Best, Dani!

Had a pre-echo and the little heart is beating! Phew, that was so stressful! My due date is around January 5th. Wishing everyone strength while waiting.
  6. Renate #26

    Me too on January 4th
  7. Santje #27

I'm also due in January.. still have to wait a bit :-)

    Pregnant with my 2nd :-D

    Hi!
I'm also due on January 25th, but I still don't really dare to believe it or something. Next week I'm going to the gynecologist, then the penny will really drop.
  9. Dani #29

Tana: That's great that you heard the heartbeat!

    Renate: Congratulations!

Bambi: Congratulations, and the disbelief is still here too. Good luck with waiting for your appointment!!

After two girls and three miscarriages last year, I think I'm pregnant again.
I'm pretty scared it might go wrong again... :-s
Still have to wait a long time until I can have my first ultrasound to feel reassured.
  11. Baby #31

I was also due in January with my first. I find it all so incredibly exciting.
  12. Baby #32

I've been incredibly nauseous for weeks now, and I can't keep anything down. I'm 9 weeks and 3 days pregnant now. I've lost 4 kg so far.
  13. Dani #33

Congratulations girls, yeah it's really exciting waiting like that!
  14. Renate74 #34

Hi everyone, first of all, congratulations to all!
I’m also lucky enough to be pregnant—I’m 7 weeks and 3 days along, with an expected due date of January 22, 2013.
It’s still all so unreal for me, and completely unexpected.
Of course, it’s very welcome though.
Next week I need to see the midwife since I had a serious operation 6 weeks ago, was under anesthesia, and had to take some medication. Today the midwife called and said I don’t need to worry.
But yeah, that’s easier said than done, obviously.
    We’ll just wait and see.

    Hi Dani,

Yeah, I am indeed 1 day past your due date, haha, just like this forum.
I do have older kids already, the oldest is 14 and the youngest turns 3 in August.
It was a total surprise, but very welcome though.
On Friday I have to go to the midwife for the first time at 09:00.
I find it quite nerve-wracking though, I just had a major surgery behind me, so I was under anesthesia and had quite a few painkillers, so I just hope that didn't have any impact on the little one.
    We'll wait and see.
Good luck today at the midwife, I'm curious for you.

    Best, Renate

I'm also due on January 25th, second baby.
Had an ultrasound yesterday, it was super quick, a bit disappointing. But I did see and hear the heartbeat. It always does something...

Hi ladies! I can add myself to the 'January club' too! If everything goes well, my due date is around the 22nd... next week I'll have my first visit with the midwife and in 2 weeks I'll have the ultrasound... so there's time to look around;-)
  18. Renate74 #38

    Hi dear 81,

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and how nice that you're due around the same time as me, if I'm not mistaken.
Tomorrow I'm going to the midwife for the first time, I'm curious.
I wish you a very beautiful pregnancy.

    Greetings, Renate74

    Hi Renate!
Nice, I'll keep an eye on you;-) How was it today at VK?? Exciting, right... for us it'll be the 2nd... the oldest is over 2.5 years old... I'm allowed to go to VK next week, unfortunately couldn't this week because of my work... I'm so curious if there really is something there;-) Wishing you a healthy pregnancy too! Hopefully without too many complaints....
    Love, Lief

Hi Renate, how was it at the midwife?

Hi dear, congratulations on your pregnancy.

All the tests were fine for me at the midwife. Tomorrow I'm having an internal ultrasound done (I really wanted to do that myself and it wasn't a problem) and in two weeks a regular ultrasound and blood test. We're still going to do the nuchal translucency scan anyway.
