Period despite breastfeeding

Hey hey,

I gave birth exactly 6 weeks ago, but my period already came back yesterday. And I’m pretty sure I even had an ovulation again because of the PMS symptoms...
I’m breastfeeding, on demand, and I still regularly give at least 3 night feeds.

Are there any others who’ve experienced this? I secretly hoped for a few more months without it, haha.

And I’m also thinking about the mini-pill. Does anyone here have experience with it?
I can’t handle latex... and two pregnancies back-to-back feels like enough for now, hihi...

    I breastfed until my son was 11 months old, and my first period came 8 months after giving birth. He did feed every 2 hours sometimes at the beginning.

    With my first, I got my period again after 3 months, and I also drank then, including during night feeds. With the second one, it didn't come back until after a year... so it can vary hugely.

    Ah, so it differs a lot... On the other hand, it's really positive that everything is recovering so well! I hadn't really counted on that for now, hehe.

    And thanks, Cella! I'm still thinking about the spiral, but honestly, I don't see myself going for it right away... What do you mean by a cup? Or do you mean that ring?
