6 months old, now wakes up every time between 12 and 6? (at night)

Since a week and a half ago, our Bodey (just over 6 months old) has been sleeping in his own room. It went well, no problems. He woke up a few times here and there.
But now for the past 3 days, he wakes up in the middle of the night every time between 12 and 6 in the morning. At first, he chats a bit or cries a little, but then it turns into full-on crying. Then he's fully awake, gets hungry, and only goes back to sleep an hour and a half to 2 hours later.
Very annoying when you have to go back to work the next day. He doesn't suck his thumb, so he depends on his pacifier.

Trying to soothe him back to sleep right away doesn't work either. He starts screaming or just doesn't feel like sleeping anymore.

Can anyone give us some advice?

Just feed him right away since you say he's hungry; then he might fall asleep earlier than 1.5 to 2 hours. And yeah, 6 months is still young, so it's not surprising he's going through phases of waking up.

This will pass too (even if it feels like FOREVER right now, haha).
