Bottle refusal

I have a question. My daughter is still breastfeeding. She's almost eleven months old. When grandma babysits or she's at daycare, she always drinks expressed milk from a bottle. Now I'd like to wean, but she refuses the bottle from me. I can understand that she associates me with the breast. But now she suddenly wants to go to grandma but also no bottle at daycare anymore. Who recognizes this and has a golden tip for me? I also bought water cups: a sippy cup, a straw cup, a magic cup but also no success. Thank you all for your responses.

Is she already eating solid food well? I would just stop with the formula at one year. Then she won't need (much) milk anymore. My experience is that when you stop giving it, they'll eventually start drinking something else. Then just put different bottles/cups around the house with drinks in them. When she gets thirsty, she'll grab one herself. Don't force it too much, just let her do her thing.

Up to a year, it's mainly breastmilk, with solid food added. From a year onwards, you can still give breastmilk nicely in the morning and evening. And if she's with someone else, water or weak tea. Or regular milk. Drinking from a cup can then already be fine, but it takes practice. I'd do that with water and practice every day.
I don't think the advice to simply stop breastfeeding is really good advice. My 11-month-old also doesn't drink breastmilk from a bottle. Only water. So she gets her breastmilk with me and water with papa or grandma and grandpa. Besides that, I can still give breastmilk fine. The WHO advises breastfeeding for at least 2 years! Our milk is perfectly adjusted to your little one. And it's more than just nutrition. I can really enjoy those moments together. So stop when you want to or when the little one naturally weans herself.

She does indicate that she wants to stop, right? At least that’s what I gathered from her story. That’s why I said it’s not a big deal to do this after a year as long as solid foods are going well. I’m also in favor of formula, but if someone wants to stop, they should really know that themselves, I think.

I did overlook that. But if she doesn't drink anything else, I wouldn't stop anyway. Even from a year old, they still need milk (products). At least 300 ml.

Sorry, but my son eats almost nothing except porridge in the morning. At midday, a few bites of bread. So I give him a bottle of 210 ml in the evening and morning. Otherwise, he won't get enough vitamins and minerals? So it's not as straightforward as you think that you don't need to give anything after a year.
