daughter 15 heavy

I feel like my daughter is a bit on the heavy side. She’s 3 sizes bigger than me, and that’s at her 15! She’s also been growing really fast lately; I think she’s put on about 20 kg in the last year. There’s no trace of her once slender, petite self anymore. I’d really like to talk to her about it (ideally with the goal of losing weight), but I’m afraid she’ll get angry and push me away. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips?

Is she already on birth control?
If so, this can cause weight gain; I gained 15 kg because of it..
I think you can also take some measures yourself with what you bring into the house; if it's not there, she can't eat it, right?
Besides, I also know that she might start buying things herself...
Well, you can't really control that.
I'd just have this conversation with her regularly, and eventually she'll probably come around.
Or you could ask someone she has a good relationship with to start talking to her about it?
    Good luck in advance.

I’d definitely bring it up! One-on-one with her. I’d also check in with yourself first, and then with her, to see if she might be eating away certain emotions? Or dealing with things you know nothing about? How does she feel about sports/fitness in group classes? Is she insecure or not? Based on the above factors, I’d adjust my conversation. But she needs to know, without hurting her. Good luck!

I'd say super enthusiastically that you've found a super diet and you want to do it! That you can lose (make up a weight) per month. Just make it fun!
