    But why did you take Clomid then? Because you only take it once you're already menstruating (days 3 or 5) to help your follicles grow. Did they monitor your ovulation, or did you test yourself after using Clomid?

    Or maybe I just didn't quite understand your sentence, that's possible too.

    I had to take Clomid (on day 3 of my period) because my follicles weren't maturing. The side effects were awful, and it didn't work—I didn't ovulate despite taking Clomid. Before Clomid, I had to take Duphaston to induce my period, because I never had periods on my own.
