Restless sleep.

Hi everyone,
My daughter has been restless for a few weeks now. She often wakes up around 6 PM and can't go back to sleep. She starts crying because she's hungry, so I give her a bottle. But when I put her back in bed, she doesn't fall asleep again and keeps crying. I'm really struggling with this during the day because she's tired and lethargic.
Does anyone have tips or solutions for this?

    Hi Amber,
My child also had a lot of trouble with this when she was a baby. I learned that when your baby cries, you should comfort her and then put her back in bed right away. When you put your child back in bed, you should walk away calmly. You can do this a few times if she keeps crying. Eventually, she needs to learn that she has to fall asleep on her own.
This definitely worked for me. My child is older now, but she no longer wakes up at night.
I hope I’ve helped you with this!

If my daughter wakes up around 6 am when she's almost 2, and I need to get up around 7 or 8, I sometimes let her stay in our bed. But I make it clear that she needs to go back to sleep, otherwise she'll go straight back to her own bed. That way, I can at least lie there calmly for a bit and wake up properly
See what works for you, but be clear and calm with your little one. Whether they're allowed to play quietly in their room when they're older, need to stay in bed, can have a sip of water and then go back to sleep, or can come to mama's bed for a bit. Routine and consistency are important.
