Oh Ceecee, be careful that it's not a fungal infection. I read that you're extra sensitive to it during pregnancy. -

Everything I normally love, I can't even get myself to eat. Just the thought of chocolate makes me feel sick, and if I do eat it, I end up eating way too much. Otherwise, I'm a big eater and always have an appetite for everything. Now, I've had no appetite for a month and really have to force myself to eat. I never know in advance whether I'll feel better or if I'll end up hanging over the toilet two minutes later. Only bananas always work. -

So relatable, no appetite! At work, they already gave me weird looks when I didn't want chocolate, they're not used to that
Today we had our first ultrasound. It was so special to see our little baby
! It looked good, as far as they can see right now.
It was also quite reassuring for me, and some of my insecurity has decreased because of it! Hope it will be the same for you all. So for some, it's still a little while to wait... good luck!
By the way, are there any sporty moms-to-be here? I'm curious how you manage it! -

I told my 2 bosses already at 5 weeks. Super early, but it's because 1. I don't see him that often and didn't want to tell him over the phone, and 2. I've known him for 15 years, we grew up almost together, and 3. I felt super good back then, and if that would change, I wanted them to know where it came from.
I told my detective colleagues only at 12 weeks. During Christmas and New Year's we're required to have time off, so that was nice, and I stayed home sick for another week after. I was vomiting so much at work that they thought it was better if I lay in bed haha..
I did have a kind of hunger pang at the beginning. If I didn't eat on time, I got angry and started trembling and sweating..
Tips for nausea: crackers or rice wafers next to your bed.. as soon as you have 1 eye open, eat immediately... and if it's really bad, you can get special medication from your GP..
If you want to know more things.. feel free to ask

Lovelife, I suddenly got really nauseous from 6 weeks on, unbearable nausea from 7 weeks on, and since then I've been vomiting daily and feeling nauseous all day long. The pounds just flew off. Tonight was a miracle because I suddenly felt like eating something, for the first time I could eat something warm, and now 3 hours later it's still in me. So hopefully things will get a bit better from now on... I did vomit this morning, but I wasn't nauseous tonight. So there is hope. I can't stand anything perfumed, and even opening the fridge was a drama. Even when there was food on TV I had to vomit. I think from 10 weeks on the hormones start to decrease slightly. -

I’ve also suddenly felt a lot more nauseous since this morning. Exactly 6 weeks today. Luckily, no vomiting.
I had bami with chicken from the oven today, and suddenly during the meal, I felt nauseous again. I just left my chicken!! For the first time in my life, haha. But later I did get a craving for a muffin, haha. -

It’s been a few days since I last replied here. It’s nice to see so many more ladies joining in.
I’ve been having terrible nausea (thankfully not vomiting yet) and I’m also incredibly tired. If the day allows, I take a nap in the afternoon. I’ve never done that before
All these symptoms do have one advantage though. It’s put me more at ease. 2.5 weeks left and then I’ll see my little sprout for the first time. -

I'm also sooo tired and sluggish, and I get nauseous in waves. It's really making me feel a bit simple. Hope it gets better after a while

I called the doctor today to get pills for the nausea. I literally couldn't sleep last night because of it. So tonight I'm going to take one before bed. You just get all groggy from it... so if I still feel out of it tomorrow morning, I'm not allowed to drive. It does help a lot though!
Luckily I can use public transport here, but then the travel time is doubled. So I just hope it doesn't take too long.
Since yesterday I've also suddenly been getting heartburn. Apparently that comes with it too pfff. Sharp pain in my stomach all the time.
Still enjoying being pregnant?? Hahaha luckily I have less time to dwell on how unpleasant it is that I don't have my first intake and ultrasound until 2 weeks from now.. I'm already happy if I can get through the days somewhat decently. -

I totally get you. Before the first ultrasound, I was so down that I told my husband: hopefully it's twins because I'm never doing this again! Meanwhile, I'm doing a bit better, but still not great. -
Roeksanah #73
Oh wow, good luck to everyone!
I still don’t have any symptoms here...
Shouldn’t I be feeling something by now? But I still don’t feel anything at all... -
Marike #74
Just be glad you don't feel anything, okay! My sister also had no issues at all and still ended up with a perfectly healthy baby. So don't worry too much and enjoy every moment. It could be over in a flash, haha! -
Roeksanah #75
Thank you so much, Marike! Wishing you both lots of strength too! -

The past few nights I had terrible stabbing pain in my right side near my groin. I finally called the midwife. I had to get an appointment quickly for an ultrasound to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.
Today was the day. Everything was fine with my little one. Super good heartbeat and the right size. They did see that there was a cyst on my ovary and it had ruptured. That was where the pain came from.
But luckily everything looked good. -

@ Flowermee
That's so nice!! Sounds like a huge relief. And also a good sign for the rest of the pregnancy, of course.
I only get my first ultrasound in 16 days (nope, I'm not counting down
). Then I'll be 8 weeks, hopefully. Super exciting! I hope we'll get to see a nice little beating heart then too... These last few days I've suddenly had a lot fewer symptoms. I should actually be happy about that, but it also makes me so insecure! -

Flowermee, happy good news but still a bit of a shock. Does the cyst need to be removed now?
Good luck, Loes, with the countdown

Hi everyone,
It’s so quiet here! Have you all had your ultrasounds yet? -
