@lovelife I just did another test and I'm getting that super faint line again. I think I'm not pregnant... Otherwise, the line would have gotten darker after 2 days. Congratulations ladies, it's really nice to read how you're experiencing the beginning of your pregnancies. Maybe I can join in the conversation next month?? -

@Flowerpower, at first my line was very faint, and it wasn't until a week later that it became a really clear line, as dark as the control line! Are you still having bleeding? If it doesn't continue, maybe try again next week? I really hope for you that you get pregnant quickly so you can start looking forward to your baby!

Ooh I'm chiming in since I totally recognize that insecurity. I've known I'm pregnant since February 9th, but I can't really enjoy it yet. I also struggle a lot with insecurity and fear that something will go wrong. There are days when I feel really nauseous and have sore breasts, and then I feel super pregnant. But there are also days when I feel almost nothing. Then I start worrying because I'm afraid something's wrong. I keep letting all those horror stories run through my head. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll feel more at ease after that. -

@lovelife my bleeding has already stopped. I'm getting a little bit of hope now haha. Did you also have such a faint test line that was only visible in daylight? And thank you!
@ceecee why are you so unsure? I see a clear positive test, everything will be fine, don't stress ?? -

@Ceecee, it's nice that you're chatting along! Maybe we can help each other out! I've realized that a lot of women feel insecure in the beginning. It's nice that there's that sense of recognition! How wonderful that you're having your first ultrasound tomorrow. Hopefully everything is fine and you'll be able to enjoy your pregnancy a bit more from tomorrow on! -

Oh, good that the bleeding has stopped, maybe everything will turn out okay after all, yeah hihi. Well, the line was faint for me but still clearly visible, my boyfriend could see it really well too. The next week it was the line you see on my profile picture, so very clearly visible! It's possible you tested a bit too early, so maybe try again later in the week or something! And otherwise, get a blood test done by your GP? When should your period normally start? -

@lovelife I was supposed to get my period on Thursday, but it came on Wednesday. It wasn't as much as usual though. I guess I'll just have to wait and see, it could also just have been my period. I really don't know anymore haha... -

Flowerpower, have you done the test yet? I wonder why I feel so insecure again. There's no specific reason for it. It's just something I feel with everything. Today I had almost no symptoms, so I'm feeling insecure again. -

Hope things get better from tomorrow, CeeCee. Maybe you just need that reassurance from the midwife. I’m also really insecure myself, you know. With everything I feel, I always think, oh no, what if something goes wrong? But yeah... my boyfriend always says: just enjoy it. If it does go wrong in the end, you’ll still have plenty of time to feel upset! So I try to keep that in mind

Hi everyone! I'm also 5 weeks pregnant today. Positive test on Feb 19 and 20. I don't have any symptoms at all, just occasional stomach pain. Yesterday I even had stomach pain for half a day. It's making me feel a bit unsure about it myself. First ultrasound on March 15!
Do you already have symptoms at around 5 weeks?
I also recognize that uncertainty and the endless Google/LoVeLife rabbit hole. But I notice it only makes me more unsure... -

I went to try on maternity pants today! Hahaha, they feel so comfy. I didn't quite dare to buy them though.. I think I'll wait until after the first scan. I just couldn't resist
Still not really nauseous, just really tired all the time. I stayed home today (I can work from home, so that works out perfectly right now).
First scan in 3 weeks... pffff, I'm already tired of waiting! -

Exciting, right? Yeah, I still don't dare to buy too much. I had my first ultrasound yesterday and they saw a clear little heart, and the size matches the timeframe I had in mind. So really happy

Haha so relatable! I bought a pair of pants on Marktplaats for my vacation in Morocco. You know, like a fluffy pair of pants! Otherwise, I'm waiting for the first ultrasound! But I already have lots of things in my favorites hahaha
And that waiting is sooo killing! -

Hi everyone,
Congratulations on your pregnancies!
We took a pregnancy test on February 5th and 6th, and it was positive. Our due date is probably October 11th. We have our first ultrasound on Thursday... so exciting!!!
It’s so relatable to read your stories, and it’s nice to know that some of you feel the same way. Like you, I feel both joy and a lot of uncertainty. For example, since early February, I’ve been experiencing cramps and sharp pains in my belly, which the midwife says is normal. But it still makes me uneasy. Plus, I’ve had nausea almost all day since early February. On one hand, it’s not a pleasant feeling, and I have no appetite (even though I used to be a foodie was
), but on the other hand, it’s a confirmation of the pregnancy! I think my anxiety comes partly from the fact that we’ve been trying to get pregnant for a year... and now it’s finally happened, and you hope everything goes well! I hope the ultrasound will give me some reassurance.
Wishing you all lots of success with your pregnancies and upcoming ultrasounds! -

Hi love!
Congratulations!!! Yeah, that uncertainty is nothing! But a little comfort: on average, it takes between half a year and a year for women to get pregnant.
But you're having your first ultrasound tomorrow! Then you'll finally know a bit more! I unfortunately still have to wait 2 weeks.
But I don't have any hunger or stomach pain either! Otherwise no problems, so just enjoy it for now
Good luck with the ultrasound tomorrow! -

Ceecee, that's great your first ultrasound went well! Feels good, I imagine
. How nice to see so many pregnant women here now. Exciting time, huh!
I still don't have any symptoms except for back pain and an occasional rumbly tummy. No extra hunger either. I do feel a bit calmer now... the uncertainties are fading a little... but of course I'm still super curious about the first ultrasound on March 14th. Waiting feels so long haha -

I’d like to share a tip for everyone in that uncertain phase of “am I pregnant or not?”
I took an Action test a week after I was overdue. It showed a very faint line, and I almost started doubting myself, wondering if I was imagining it. My tip: just buy a Clear Blue, then you know where you stand. It’s a bit more expensive, but it gives you certainty. And with 4 tests from the Dutch lottery-style “Kruitvat,” you end up spending just as much anyway. Clear Blue actually gave me a 1–2 week head start. This one showed 3–4 weeks.
If you calculate from that, I should have been at 4 weeks. But in the end, it turned out to be 3 weeks, which explains the nearly invisible line. Everyone follows those standard rules, but for me, my fertile window was actually a week later.
Don’t stress yourself out—patience is key. I know how hard it is, but it really is like that.. and oh yes, try not to obsess over it too much. During the first few months we were trying, I was panicky.. calculating here, testing there.. it made no sense. In the 4th month, I was busy moving and renovating. No time to think about getting pregnant, and BAM! It happened!! -

Hi Joyce. I did my first test with an action test. It was a clear line but not as clear as the control line. I thought huh.. it probably won't be right so I did the clear blue test the next day and this gave 1-2 weeks pregnant. Finally I did a kruidvat test that I had lying around and this also gave a line. For me it was just a confirmation, that 3 different tests gave the same answer! And indeed maybe a bit exaggerated, but it did give me a nicer feeling. I think that for everyone who is pregnant for the first time, it is a very uncertain period with a lot of tension. At least for me. I hope after the first appointment with the midwife to be a little more at ease. I think it's a pity anyway that I can only talk to a midwife after such a long time after I know it. Of course I can call her with questions, but it is nice after all when you have a face to face conversation and just get the information you want to know and hear.

Lovelife..
I totally agree with you that it feels like it takes so long.. my heart was pounding in my throat the first time. And even at 11 weeks I was still nervous..
Especially because of acquaintances around me who had miscarriages or their baby's heart had stopped, and they had to induce a miscarriage themselves.
It makes you so insecure.
And even now.. I have a check-up tomorrow evening, almost 19 weeks.. I'm getting nervous again even though I saw the baby on Feb 14th at a pre-scan.
