Less BV when pumping

Hi!

I had a question about pumping. I recently started working again and I notice that pumping doesn't go as well there. I've only been at it for 3 days but I'm a bit worried. I pump less than the little one needs per day (I can pump 280 ml per day).

The space at the office is pretty okay, private but a bit cold. I bring warmer clothes. I already use photos and take the time to sit down and do it.

Does anyone here have experience with this and who has tips to get my pumping production up a bit??

    Hi Emmy,

Your breasts produce what your little one drinks, maybe the little one drinks less per feed. Anyway, drinking from a bottle is easier than milk from the breast for such a little one. How old is your little one? Does the little one finish everything and then still need more? Or do you think it's too little yourself?

I pumped at the times I normally breastfed and DRANK A LOT. Drinking a lot is really a solution for this, I really had to teach myself that after giving birth. I only went back to work when my little one was 5 months old, and then part-time, so I would breastfeed in the morning, then pump at work, and then feed again around 12/1 o'clock at home.

Emmy, for a better let-down reflex, you can ask your GP for a nasal spray with oxytocin. Also, I've heard that drinking something warm can help.

She has absolutely no appetite right now (when she's breastfeeding). At daycare, she drinks 150ml per bottle. That still works out in the morning, but not anymore after that.
Drinking more on her own has been lacking lately... maybe I should start using the diluted bottle water again...

    Thanks for the replies.
