Having trouble falling asleep

Hi everyone!
I have a 15-week-old boy. After his hospital stay, he's having a really hard time falling asleep between 7 and 8 PM. At first, we'd put him in his crib awake but sleepy, and he'd fall asleep on his own. Now, he just cries. We've tried everything: letting him cry it out (which didn't work; he'd completely lose it), checking and comforting him every 5 minutes (that made him uncontrollable too). We don't take him out of the crib unless he's totally losing it. Playing some music or using a nightlight doesn't help. Does anyone have tips or ideas?

Later in the evening, we wake him up and give him his last bottle. When we put him back down then, it's no problem.

Thanks in advance for your replies!
Best, Mirjam

Maybe I'm not the right person to ask, but we never let him cry it out and never always put him awake in bed. I rocked my daughter to sleep and put her in bed. It got better on its own and eventually I never really had any sleep problems. I also never woke her up for a feed, but that was a personal choice.

It sounds like your son can do it, but doesn't between 7 and 8 pm. Why doesn't he sleep? Swaddling has helped here sometimes, and it could just be a phase. Good luck with it!!

    hey,

We've had a little routine here with both kids since they were born.

At 6 pm, a bath, then after the bath a bottle in their room, and then put to bed with a dummy so they can sleep best. We never woke them up for a bottle either

We can only say and give tips, but every child is different.
