baby gives so much back

Hey girls

I hope I can get some tips here. My little girl is 4 weeks old and throws up so much after every feed. I keep feeding her after feeding her and even 2-3 hours after feeding. I find it so pitiful and notice that she's starting to suffer from it.
I did go to the GP and now I'm supposed to see the pediatrician just to be safe. Does anyone know what I can expect from that? Or does anyone have tips on how I can reduce it?
I'm already feeding her upright and burping her in between. I also take her off the breast a few times to sit her upright to let the milk settle.

Love

Aww, poor Jaidy . Sounds like reflux.. You can thicken bottles to help with spitting up, but with breastfeeding I don't know what you can do.
Do you have a lot of milk maybe, a strong let-down reflex, is she getting too much and can't process it?
    Curious what the pediatrician says..!

I guess it's reflex too. Good luck, sis. Can't give any tips. Maybe Google reflex, you might recognize it, right? Kiss

Sounds like reflux, that's really tough. Seeing your little Jaidy like that... I hope you can get a referral... or do you already have one?

I do have a referral. I've read various stories online saying they can't really fix it. Only medication for acid reflux, but babies have such a hard time digesting milk. I'll wait calmly to see what the doctor says tomorrow.

    Thanks for responding.

    So annoying, bah.

Our girl had this from the start too. I gave bottle feeding and, on the advice of the pediatrician, added Johannes bread crumbs. From then on, it went super well. This can be given from 0 months and is also good for reflux. Lots of success with the doctor, hope it goes well.

Otherwise, just drop by kV quickly since you can also get it there...
    Love and see you soon

I'm none the wiser. The only thing I have to do is miss max 5 minutes of breastfeeding. They think I'm giving too much food, the spitting up is a bit less. But she's still spitting up and now she's getting much less in. She's almost always so restless about eating because it all comes up high. Nothing sits right with me. I think her throat just hurts, she also makes weird croaking noises.

we'll just wait and see friday I'll be called how it's going and how to continue differently.

Just a quick message: could you maybe pump your milk and give it to her in a bottle (for example, the Medela Calma bottle)?
That way you can see exactly how much she’s drinking, and with the Calma bottle, feeding happens quite slowly, so she won’t suddenly get a huge amount of milk.
It’s really a shame that you haven’t gotten any clearer information.. It’s frustrating, and so sad for her!

That's awful, but can you ask for help from a lactation consultant? That should be covered by your insurance package.
I hope you get out of this and maybe get a second opinion.
    Strength to you.

    How are you doing?

Thursday I called the hospital again, it only got worse and worse. Now they diagnosed a more severe form of reflux. Switched to pumping with johannesbeoodpapmeel. It's going super well, she cries much less during feeding and hardly spits up anymore, we're so happy!
But I'll probably start weaning off in a week or so and switch to bottle feeding.
