Kruidvat bottle feeding

With our first baby, we just used Nutrilon. Now I hear a lot of people talking about the Kruidvat own-brand baby formula. Does anyone have experience with it?

Hi Marloes, I've heard good things about it and they're indeed cheap, but we're probably going for Friso because we have good experiences with it regarding colic.

Meanwhile, we've decided to go with Friso after all.

I always used Kruidvat baby formula. I was told that it contains the same ingredients as Nutrilon, and every baby formula must meet the same legal requirements. And my little guy grew up big and strong!

You've already made your choice, but I just wanted to chime in.
We use Kruitvat Extra Care for our daughter (same as Omneo) and for our son we used the standard Kruitvat formula back in the day. It's really good formula. First of all, all formula has to meet certain requirements anyway.
And a few years ago there was quite a stir about Kruitvat formula because it was exactly the same as Nutrilon but half the price....

I breastfed my 3 kids myself, but when I switched to formula at 7 months, I used Nutrilon vanilla flavor. It's good milk. I wouldn't take Kruidvat milk or any other brand—Nutrilon is really the best for your baby. All the vitamins are in there. You pay a bit more, but I personally prefer to do that for my kids' health. Greetings, Linda

Hi ladies, I can say that Kruidvat baby food is really good and meets all the requirements. My little guy has been drinking Kruidvat from the start and is currently 5.5 months old. I looked into it before his birth to see if this brand could be just as good as the more expensive well-known brands, and Kruidvat baby milk sometimes even came out better than those pricier brands. My little guy has never had any digestive issues and is growing like a weed

I gave 6 months of breast milk, then always Nutrilon, and now they're toddlers and rarely drink milk anymore. I only use it for the porridge, but then with organic milk.

    Hi everyone.

The quality is pretty much the same. The Kruitvat brand clumps more, so you have to shake it more and get cramps faster. Other than that, there's no difference.

We gave our little girl Nan Pro at first. In the end, we switched to Kruidvat baby formula purely for financial reasons, and we're very happy with it. Our daughter never had any tummy troubles and is perfectly healthy. Long live the cheaper but equally high-quality Kruidvat formula!

We're also open to Kruidvat baby food, but the packaging doesn't quite make sense. It says babies between 4-5kg can have 165ml, and after that, obviously more, but our baby can barely finish 165ml! Let alone having to drink even more later on.

    Hi Miranda,

The packaging is just a guideline for "standard" babies. Luckily, those don't really exist. You give what your little one can handle, and if the bottles run out sooner, you can always increase the amount. Check with your CB (community health nurse) if you're unsure. Don't worry too much about the packaging unless you want to know the exact ratio of water to scoops. Watch your baby; they know best. Most babies take longer to build up to larger amounts. So weight isn't the most important thing to stick to.

Hi! Yes, I have experience with my own brand of bottle feeding. Highly recommended!

Who has experience with Kruidvat's standard formula 2?
I'd like to switch from Nutrilon standard 1 to Kruidvat.
