Hey ladies, a quick question: I had a miscarriage on 01/24 (4 weeks). It's already been 5 weeks since then. I took a pregnancy test today, 03/01, and it was positive. Could I be pregnant, or is this still from the miscarriage? Thanks in advance!

    Hi!

On August 2nd, I had a miscarriage. I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time. I'm still bleeding a bit, but not much anymore. When could I get pregnant again? Normally, I should get my period on August 18th, so I should be in my fertile window now.

    Any advice?

    Cheers

Tried for 4 years to get pregnant, IVF and insemination. Finally in January it was time, I was suddenly pregnant. Without help, it was a miracle. On March 21 I had a D&C. Since then I can't stop crying and I'm scared. That I'll never have a baby. It was 4 tough years and suddenly it was time. But it wasn't meant to be. Do I have to try for 4 years again now? I'm so scared, sad and feel so alone.

Mousey, that's so sad! I can't decide that for you. If you have four more years to wait and can handle it and want to, then go for it. You could also let it go temporarily for as long as possible, and who knows, maybe you'll conceive during that time too, just like with this little miracle. If you're open to other options like adoption and foster care, you can explore those as well if you're 100% sure about this. And in the meantime, nature can take its course. Think about it and do what feels right for you and your husband.

Hi, I had an IUD previously, I was only 7 weeks pregnant. On Thursday I had a suction curettage. After that, I didn't have any bleeding or pain. On Friday, I couldn't resist and cleaned up; we really wanted a baby so badly. We still have many questions and feel sad, but since we wanted to start trying again right away, it's more bearable now. Today, I've been having discomfort in my belly, sharp stabs in my belly and on the left side in my back, but no nausea or other symptoms. Could this already be ovulation so soon after the IUD removal and curettage? And can you become fertile again so quickly? Greetings, Shana

I see that the last reply was a long time ago. I still want to share my story because I feel so awful. I was 9 weeks pregnant and started bleeding spontaneously. I went to the gynecologist today and a miscarriage was confirmed. There was nothing more to see in my uterus. So sad that we are, and we really want a baby. I read here that it still works out to get pregnant again. What is your experience? How long should I wait? I think it's sensible to wait for the next period and ovulation. But after a miscarriage, you heal quickly, right? And how do you know you've healed?

Thank you all in advance for answering.
    Greetings, Lisa

Hey, I had a miscarriage in early September 2020 and wasn't particularly fertile before that. I got pregnant again in early March 2021, so 6 months after the miscarriage.

Aah, glad it finally worked out after half a year. I need to rest first too, and then it'll be fine.
Thank you for your response, and enjoy your baby soon??
