5 days overdue, negative tests

As you can already see from the title, I'm 5 days late today and all my tests are coming back negative.
I stopped the pill 1.5 years ago, had irregular cycles every time, and now for a few months I've had a neat 30-day cycle. I already had a few symptoms, but that could of course also have been my period. I took a test then, but it came back negative. Then I waited a few days until today (5 days late), but still a negative test.. My breasts have clearly gotten bigger, more nausea, and a weird feeling of menstruation in my belly, it's all very strange because I'm always on time..
Is it that after 5 days you should really have gotten a positive test, or is there a chance that I had late implantation and that I should wait a bit longer or call my doctor?

Had it this month too, unfortunately. My period started on the afternoon of the 5th day. I thought to myself, if I test negative 3 times (I did it every other day), I'll call the GP. It's also in the leaflet: after repeated negative tests and no period, contact your GP. It's still a letdown, even though you know in the back of your mind that negative means no pregnancy. You still hold on to hope that you're one of those women who tests positive late. My tip: make a plan for yourself on how you want to handle it. That's probably why my period came through on the 5th day, because I let go a bit, even though that's hard. I've made an appointment with the GP on Monday for a referral to a gynecologist. I stopped the pill in November 2017 and I actually find it nice now that things are being checked and hopefully ruled out! Good luck with the wait

That's annoying, isn't it? Especially since you really have no clarity at all. Already 6 days late and nothing to be seen.. We weren't super focused on it either, but if it were to happen, it would be very welcome!
I'll wait a bit longer, I don't think I can do anything else, and then if I'm more than 2 weeks late, I'll call the doctor. I wish you lots of success with the doctor anyway, and I'm curious what it turned out to be in the end. I'm rooting for you, nothing serious! ????

I had that too. I always got my period neatly after 28 days. And sometimes once after 34 or 36 days. Then I did a blood test at the GP but wasn't pregnant. So maybe it's best to wait a bit. If you're too focused on getting your period or stressed, it might just delay it.
    Good luck, girl.

Even though I kept in the back of my mind that I wasn't pregnant, it was indeed a bit of a downer! Let's hope it's nothing serious and we all quickly have a positive test in our hands!!
