Echo at 5 weeks, empty gestational sac, bleeding, concerning?

Hi everyone,
I had an early ultrasound this week because of bleeding. They only saw an empty gestational sac. The sonographer said it was either too early or it could be a leftover. She also mentioned that my uterus isn't completely clear.
Should I be worried? I have another scan next week, but I'm really anxious right now.
I had the bleeding very early on. I tested positive for sure. I was two days late when the bleeding started. It lasted much shorter than my usual period and felt different.
Could it be that I already lost the pregnancy then and the sac remained? According to the scan, I'm about 5 weeks along.

It's hard to say anything at 5 weeks. A heartbeat usually doesn't show up until around 6 weeks, and only then can you get a bit more of an idea. At this stage, a day really makes a difference in whether they can give you certainty or not. Good luck while you wait.
