Yeah, when I'm back from my vacation, I'll call my GP and see what they say. If they tell me to wait a bit longer, I can indeed try that acupuncture.

    Hey ladies,
I'm now on day 60. I tested again on Tuesday, but it was negative this month too. Even with tracking temperatures, I'm none the wiser, so I think I really didn't ovulate both times.
Tamara, definitely make an appointment with your GP before your vacation! Maybe they can help you out. My GP wants to see me again only after 6 months without a period. Hope your GP takes it more seriously.

Wow, after 6 months? That doesn't seem right to not menstruate for so long.

How are things with you now?
Have you gotten your period yet?
  6. Nala #46

    Still no period here either..

    Hi everyone,
I stopped taking the pill in February and have been having very irregular periods, ranging from 30 days to now on day 55... I can't really get a handle on it ... I was planning to start tracking my temperature and using ovulation tests after my next period (if it ever comes) to see if I'm ovulating... Do you have any other tips? By the way, I keep seeing wheat germ oil and evening primrose oil mentioned everywhere, but is it safe to use?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi ladies,

Same story here again, I don't understand anything anymore! Once again, I had a positive CB ovulation test 14 days after the start of my period. But the arrival of my period never matches up with that. I'm waiting again now and hoping for no overly long cycle. The pregnancy test is also negative (maybe too early), and I've had a lot of fluid discharge for over a week now, which makes me keep wondering if it's actually my ovulation or if I maybe didn't ovulate at all.

By chance, I have my annual check-up with the gynecologist and can already go there on Monday. Hopefully, she can help me out further.

If I find anything interesting, I'll definitely let you know! Hopefully, no one else has to wait too long for their period!

@lieltjuh: I've stopped using evening primrose oil because I heard so many conflicting stories online. I think I'll ask the gynecologist if there are any medications to get everything back on track.

    Good luck to everyone!

I get it, Tamara. I didn't want to take a test today because I'm convinced I'm not pregnant, but I'd rather be sure. Disappointment is never nice! Our patience will be rewarded!

    That's great, Tamara!
I hope everything goes well on Monday.
    Keep us posted?
  11. Nala #51

    I can totally imagine that.
Still nothing has changed for me either..

For me, it's all anxious waiting again—will I get my period on Friday, or is it going to be another long cycle?
My gynecologist did reassure me yesterday that everything is fine. I just need to give it time and go back at the beginning of next year if things don’t stabilize.
My uterine lining was really thick, so hopefully that means my period is coming soon. I’d better not get too hopeful about pregnancy.
By the way, those ovulation tests aren’t really reliable for me after all!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everyone’s cycle sorts itself out soon!
    Cheers

@Eves I stopped the pill last October and had regular cycles of 28-33 days since then, and so far tests always showed ovulation... On June 18th I got my period but it was very short, about 2 days, and since then I haven't had a period or ovulation... I had blood drawn last week for hCG and it was negative, so I'm now being referred to a gynecologist.

That's exciting, Tamara. If it's PCOS, can they treat it easily?
I'm waiting for my period again here.. hopefully this weekend.
Otherwise, I'll get referred again if it doesn't show up.
  15. Tamara #55

Yeah, it's actually quite treatable... Once the test results are in, I'll get pills to induce my period and then pills to trigger ovulation. They'll use internal ultrasounds to see how the egg is developing and when it releases, etc.... I just hope my husband's sperm are good—that would already be some good news.

How are things with you guys now?

I got a positive ovulation test 3 weeks ago. Last week I had a hysteroscopy where they cleaned things up a bit. They already told me then that my next period wouldn't be very heavy.
But since last Saturday I've been spotting a bit, which fits with the post-ovulation phase.
Now I'll see if I get my period in 4 weeks (or if I'm pregnant).

I'm not going to do ovulation tests anymore, I think it's fine now.

    Hey ladies,
Just a quick message from me. I finally got a referral to the gynecologist today. I'm relieved that action is finally being taken and really curious to see what it will bring.
    How are you all doing??
  19. Tamara #59

Hi hi, I had the Provera course here and am now waiting for my period. It's already day 3, so I think it'll come soon... Then we'll start with Clomid and just keep trying and wait and see.

    Hey Tamara and Nala

I've been through it too. It took 126 days before things were sorted out. I switched to another gynecologist, had everything tested, and it turned out my progesterone was way too low.
Since last month, I've finally gotten it back under control, and now I'm taking progesterone to see what happens next.
    Wishing you lots of success.
