Bumps around the eyes

My 2.5-week-old daughter has had lots of small white bumps around her eyes for a few days, with some also on her cheeks and chin, but mostly around her eyes. There seem to be more and more appearing. The area around the bumps is getting red. There's nothing else in her eyes, and they aren't inflamed.
We went to the GP, and according to her, these are fat bumps caused by hormones and/or breastfeeding, and they'll go away on their own eventually. It looks like that, and I am a bit worried.
Does anyone recognize this?

Sounds like the same thing my daughter had. She mostly had them on her nose and a few on her cheeks. She’s now 7 weeks old and it’s slowly getting better.

Hannah86, your GP was already on the right track with those hormones. My son had a ton of them too, especially around his mouth and eyes. It looked pretty bad, but it went away on its own. Just wait it out and don’t squeeze the bumps. As long as the red spots don’t get infected. Sometimes a little patience is the best remedy.
