Hi everyone!

I took a test last Monday after my period was late and I was feeling a bit "off," and it was positive! For the very first time!

It feels so weird and exciting at the same time; I just want to shout it from the rooftops! I notice that reading lots of forums makes me quite scared of miscarriage, you read such sad things. Do others recognize that?

My first ultrasound is on February 2nd, so it's still a little while away!

I'm curious to hear other stories :-)

    Congratulations, darling!!!
    I totally understand your fear.
I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant with my second and have known for a week now, and I've already had mild cramps for a few days :-(
No bleeding or anything like that, but you start doubting and thinking negative thoughts.
Which only adds even more stress.
And my advice is not to read too many stories from others.
You might relate to them, but many stories can also make you anxious ;-)
I stress a little every day when I think "what if it goes wrong," but then I remind myself that there's little I can do about it anyway, so I try to let go and enjoy!!

    Wishing you all the best!

    hi hi,

I also tested positive last Monday and right after that got scared again that something might go wrong.
    I totally get that feeling!
    It's rough.
I'm trying to stay calm too but it's so hard.
but well, we can't change anything anyway, it is what it is and it'll go how it goes.
how are you all doing otherwise?

    Hi Shalynn,

    Congratulations to you too!!!
    It's all super exciting, isn't it? :-)
I'm generally okay, but sometimes I get cramps which make me scared and start to wonder, oh no, will this go well?
But as you said yourself, there's nothing we can do about it, no matter how hard it is.

    Enjoy your pregnancy

    Love, Nail?

    Hi!!

Congrats!! I totally know both feelings! I really want to tell everyone!! I'm so excited and happy! But everyone I tell is happy but also cautious because you're still so early in your pregnancy. So I went looking for a nice forum! But that unfortunately also triggered a lot of stress.. with my first I was only focused on myself and didn't have any fear of miscarriage.. now that I'm reading all sorts of things from others here, I sometimes get quite anxious.. maybe because I'm older now and can see more dangers than when I was 21.. I'm trying not to stress too much and just enjoy it.. and think: why would it go wrong for me.. for now I have enough symptoms to feel reassured..

    Hi everyone!

Super nice to read your replies and of course CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!

It's nice that you also mention that all those other posts make you feel so insecure! I sometimes get really worked up about it and then start overthinking every little feeling, thinking something might be wrong...

When do you have your first ultrasound? February 2nd feels so far away to me! I'm currently thinking about how I'm going to tell my parents, since it's their first grandchild!

    Hi hi,

My first ultrasound is scheduled for February 27th and to my surprise I think it might be a mistake and should actually be January hehehehe because otherwise I'd be over 12 weeks at my first scan.
So I need to look into that tomorrow ;-)

How lovely that this is the first grandchild for your parents!!
    Super exciting.
I told my dad right away that I was pregnant (my mom experienced my premature birth and has had a trauma ever since when it comes to me and pregnancies) and I told my mom on Mother's Day and she was so happy :-)

There are really nice ways to tell your parents the good news:

-You can wait until your first ultrasound (extra 1 question) and frame it and give it to your parents.
-Put pink/blue socks in an envelope and send them.
-Make a crossword puzzle and the solution being Grandma & Grandpa ;-)

There's really plenty to find, just google it silly hehehehe

Keep us posted on how you're going to tell them the good news?

    Love, Nail

    Hi ladies,
Congratulations! It's exciting, yes, and new and fragile. I often think that stress increases the chance of something going wrong. So don't stress more because of that;-)
I distract myself with positive things.
I have my first ultrasound on Jan 30:-)

I found something super super super to share! A chocolate surprise egg with different notes inside like: Dear grandma, are you going to hug me in September and help mom with all the new stuff? Xx

I'm quite bummed that I only have my 2-02 ultrasound, I'm so curious if everything is okay, I still have quite a lot of symptoms, and you guys?

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your pregnancies. I’m 5 weeks pregnant as of Sunday, and my first ultrasound is on February 3rd. I’m really excited too and find myself thinking about it a lot during the day. I already have quite a few pregnancy discomforts, but I’m happy to put up with them all!

    Enjoy yourselves, ladies!
