getting pregnant without fallopian tubes

I want to give a big hug and some encouragement to all the women who are scared they might have trouble getting pregnant because they only have one fallopian tube left... because it can happen, even with ovulation on the wrong side!

I had an ectopic pregnancy myself where my entire left fallopian tube was removed. Shortly after, I got pregnant with our first child. We thought it was truly a lucky shot.
It's not that ovulation alternates left and right. Ovulation can happen on the same side for months in a row.

Now we wanted a second child, and when I went for a check-up, there was just an egg ready on the side without a tube. The gynecologist said the chance of me getting pregnant now was very small. Not non-existent, but still very small. About two weeks later, I took a positive pregnancy test. A few months have passed now and everything is going well.

So no need to be afraid, even with ovulation on the 'wrong' side, the chance is still there! So lots of luck and good courage to you all!

Greetings!

After a miscarriage in early May, I had emergency surgery because I was bleeding internally and the baby had affected the right side. The entire right side was removed. It was a tough recovery, and I'm still not mentally there yet... But now you've given me the hope I was looking for. We're trying to get pregnant again before I have a cone biopsy due to CIN2 (precancerous stage) of cervical cancer. Because after the surgery, it's very difficult to carry a pregnancy to term with all the consequences. We have six months to try, and if that doesn't work, more tests, monitoring, and then surgery. Thank you for your encouraging message!

This message is so nice to read.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in June where one fallopian tube was removed.
Since today I've had my period again, so from this month we can try again. Given my age, we can come back in October if it doesn't work out to get pregnant by then.

But the message that it's just possible gives me hope!

In October, the left fallopian tube filled with fluid (after several IUIs and one IUI with hormones). The left ovary isn't doing anything, it's not fully developed, and has poor blood flow. Only one left... Trying to stay hopeful. Yesterday on the ultrasound, there might also be fluid in the right fallopian tube. Going back in a week to see how it's doing. Starting to lose a bit of hope now. But hope keeps you going. I really want it.
