Fertility research

Hey, my partner and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years. A year and a half ago, I had an ectopic pregnancy and my left fallopian tube was removed. On July 3rd, I have an appointment with my gynecologist to get my fertility tested, but my question is: does anyone know what these tests actually involve?
Thanks in advance!

    Hi Anja

    Experienced user here

For our first tests, we had to fill out a questionnaire at home first.
The gynecologist herself did an internal ultrasound.. I got papers to prick my blood and my boyfriend got a jar to collect his sperm for testing. And that's it.. (for us at least)

Only when all the results are in can you move on to the next steps, so further steps are taken from there. (In my case, the ultrasound already showed that I had PCOS, and the blood test confirmed that later.)

Maybe you need an HSG scan or a semen analysis. For us, this only came later.

    Good luck with everything!

    Greetings Kruimel
