I'm on May 9th! So that's pretty close together... -
Appelsien #5
Bijons is going to come earlier anyway, so I'm curious what it'll be... Well, the heartburn isn't fun, right? I'm struggling with it a lot too. My midwife said I can take Malox, but it makes me super nauseous, so we're dealing with it by drinking lots of milk, which luckily helps! Are your little ones this active in the belly too? Greetings -

With moments he's very active and other moments I don't feel him at all.
My son was much more active when I was pregnant with him, and he's still quite active now. -

With me, it's an active baby, but I also feel like it's a bit less active than my son... I know that sour feeling too... And sometimes I also have trouble with constipation... That's pretty irritating too! Are you still sleeping well? I feel like the baby gets more active whenever I'm trying to fall asleep... -

I'm sleeping really badly. As soon as I get into bed, I get an incredible amount of acid reflux, and yeah, the baby is also more active mainly in the evenings. -

Hi ladies, I'm due on May 30th
Sleeping is a nightmare, and I'm also dealing with a lot of acid reflux. I'm allowed to take Gaviscon and Riopan.
Those who also have issues might be able to use one of these

Hi Appelsien,
I just bought a pregnancy pillow too to be able to lie higher, which helps with the acid reflux. Our son is almost 5 years old and has been sleeping in a big bed since he was 20 months old. It's indeed quite strange how two pregnancies can be so different. I also have pelvic instability. -
Appelsien #11
Yeah, it does help a bit, it's not fantastic but still a little better... Our son is now 21 months too, so it would be a bit the same, right, I'd look forward to moving him to his big bed... I got physio for my pelvis, but it didn't improve at all, in the end I just couldn't walk, now I've been to the osteopath three times and it's already much better, I still have a lot of pain, but I can do more already... Spent this afternoon with our son at the ER, hopefully his fever goes down quickly. Now trying to sleep a bit too, see you tomorrow.... -

hey appelsien
hope everything gets better soon with your son, sick kids are no fun.
marieke,
my son was 20 months old when he started sleeping in his big bed alone because he was already crawling out of his crib and I was scared he'd fall on his head at night and we wouldn't hear it so better to fall from a low big bed than from a high small crib. -
Appelsien #13
Good morning ladies,
Had a very busy and short night, still has a high fever, so we're waiting it out for now. Hopefully, he'll eat and drink a bit more today...
We're also mainly scared of him constantly getting out of his crib when he wakes up. We'd rather not put up a little safety gate but instead place another mattress under his crib. We're also afraid he might try to climb over the gate and then fall from higher than he normally would when rolling out of his crib. We're thinking of switching in March... -

Good morning,
we did put up a shelf like that because our son is quite a restless one. Hopefully your son's fever goes down soon. What does your little boy have? -
Appelsien #15
Yes, it's so hard, Stefanie... I have no idea what's best. It seems ideal to us to keep him in his little crib for another year, but we have this Aerosleep mattress and those sheets, and it feels quite expensive to buy everything new now when he'll be moving to a big bed in a few months anyway... Gosh, we can keep turning it over in our minds...
Well, what does our little boy have that the doctors don't know?
He's had a slight fever for about three weeks, but nothing alarming. A bit of coughing, a bit of runny nose. On Saturday night he suddenly got 39.6°C. We called the on-call doctor because we thought maybe his "diabolo's" (ear tubes) were blocked (in the past he only ever got fevers with ear infections, he's had tubes since December and hasn't been sick since). The doctor examined him thoroughly, found nothing, thought maybe it was the flu. For safety's sake, they took a urine sample anyway. Sunday morning he was over 40°C, and blood was noticed in the urine sample, so we had to go to the ER. At the ER they took blood and urine again, but that was fine, so we have to wait until tomorrow morning. If he still has a high fever, we'll go back to the hospital for further tests... -

All that uncertainty, orange! Hopefully, you'll know more soon! High fever in your little one really worries a mother's heart! I think I'll still let my oldest stay in his baby bed for a bit. Then I won't have to worry about Emiel falling out of the big bed, crawling out of it, etc. Greetings -

Yay, off to the gynecologist!

And? Have you been already? I can drop by again tomorrow! -
stefkietje started this #19
hey everyone,
you guys are lucky, I guess, to have seen your little wonder yet. I'm only going to the gynecologist on the 25th and won't have an ultrasound until March 3rd.
Next week, though, I'm going to have another 3D ultrasound done in Erpe-Mere. I'm really looking forward to it! -
Appelsien #20
Yes, we're home just now. What a weird arrangement on your end, Stefanie?? We have to go to the OB-GYN every four weeks, then every three weeks towards the end, and then every two weeks. We get an ultrasound each time, but at the end she doesn't do ultrasounds anymore because there's nothing more to see anyway... I've never had a 3D ultrasound done...
Everything was completely fine; he's currently head-down and weighs 706 grams
Our little guy is doing better too. It must have been three days of fever, because today he's covered in spots and has no fever anymore... so we're relieved too
Good luck tomorrow, Marieke!! Let me know how it goes. Kisses
