Dear Brenda!
That's absolutely terrible that you're going through this now too. It's so sad!
I don't know if you want to share it here, but I'm wondering what your story is.
When did it happen and how, etc.
It's and remains your first baby..
Take your time and rest! Wishing you lots of strength!
For me, it's been two weeks now and I have to say it's getting a little better every day (with some rougher days in between though).
Work has been a good distraction, I've noticed.
Physically, I don't really notice anything anymore, just occasional twinges now and then. My body seems to have picked up the cycle again (it'll have to be seen, but at least I have the symptoms of ovulation), and that gives you a different perspective, a different way of dealing with it.
Take it easy and as we said before..we're going to be moms, we're confident about that!!!!!
How are things with the rest???!!!
Love, -

Hi ladies,
Dear Jaimy, thank you for your kind response. It wasn't a BZB for me, but it still remains painful.
Dear AM, thank you for your kind response. I really want to share my story here.
It all started on Feb 20th, that was the day of my first ultrasound. Before I was helped, I went to the toilet for a moment and saw a very light pink drop. The ultrasound was done and it was a beautiful little fetus with a good beating heart. When I got home, I clearly saw bleeding. I called the midwife, who said it could be due to the ultrasound or stress, or the time when I was due for my period. I was told to watch it and call if it got worse. The next day it got worse again, so I called back and was allowed to go for an ultrasound. It turned out everything was fine, the heart was beating well. The gynecologist told me this happens often and isn't always bad news, but to keep an eye on it and call if it gets worse. (This was when I was 7 weeks pregnant)
However, I kept having bleeding every day until it started to smell. I went to the doctor who referred me to a gynecologist. She first told me it was because I was losing blood every day, causing bacteria in the blood and vagina to mix, which gave a bad smell. Then an ultrasound was done, the heart was beating well and my little one had clearly grown. Happy to go home. By then I was 8 weeks pregnant.
I kept losing blood until at 9 weeks I lost a lot of blood with clots. At that moment I thought, "this is it, something's wrong now." During all those weeks of bleeding, I had no stomach pain. I called the midwife right away, who referred me to the hospital. When I arrived, an ultrasound was done and there was again a beating heart visible and the fetus had grown again. Terrified, because you know that despite the fact that the fetus is doing well, something could still go wrong. The doctor told me the bleeding comes from the connection of blood vessels between the placenta and my blood vessels.
Three days later, now 10 weeks. It really went wrong.
A lot of bleeding, really a lot of pain and a lot of clots. I had to go to the hospital immediately and prepare for a miscarriage, the midwife told me. Arriving with a lot of sadness and pain, an ultrasound was done and that little one was fighting for his life, still had a beating heart but it stopped beating occasionally and started beating spontaneously again and stopped again. The little one was also still moving. I was also allowed to listen to how the heart beat for the last time and watch how it was still moving. The doctor told me that within a few hours the fetus would give up and come out on its own. I was allowed to go home to have a miscarriage at home.
After two days nothing happened. I called the midwife who said I should give it a chance to come out on its own but I really couldn't take the pain anymore. I was allowed to go to the hospital, an ultrasound was done and for the first time I saw that my little one was no longer there. It was still in my uterus but lifeless. Urgently to the OR because it had taken too long. I had a curettage. Later the doctor who helped me told me that she had removed the entire fetus from my uterus and that there was a lot of tissue, so much so that my fetus was sent to the pathologist and in two weeks I'll get the results.
Well ladies, this is my story, a bit long but I couldn't tell it any other way.
I still have pain, I had after-pain. But it's going okay with painkillers.
I hope things are much better for you too.
And dear AM, we're going to be moms, we believe in that!!!!!
Lots of love, Brenda -

Wow, that’s so intense, Brenda.
And that you had to sit in uncertainty for so long too...
I’m truly speechless after reading your story.
It sounds like you had a strong little one, which is clear... How powerless you must have felt those days and during the ultrasounds... It’s like the ground just falls out from under you.
That definitely takes some time to process and find its place.
It’s good that they can examine the tissue, right? Can they figure out what the reason was from that?
Sending you lots of strength and God’s strength!
Love, -

Hi Brenda,
Oh my, that's just awful to hear your story! And hearing your baby's heart beat... wow, that's amazing!
I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I hope you recover quickly, just like we did! Everything will be okay, girl!
And remember one thing: we're definitely going to be super moms.
Best wishes, Jaimy
xx

Brenda,
What a terrible story. Especially that you saw with your own eyes that the heart stopped. That must have been so intense and incredibly sad at that moment.
I wish you/you both lots of strength!!

So far, things have been going well for me. No nausea or other complaints, just my pelvis is already acting up again, but that was to be expected. Honestly, I find it quite shocking to read how often things still go wrong. My first appointment is on April 10th and the first ultrasound on April 19th. It feels so strange to have those appointments, since I don't feel pregnant at all. I'm really curious. I hope we get through that time, which I do have faith in.
Greetings -

Hey Joke,
That's great that you don't have any complaints, because if you always have to vomit like that, I think it won't be fun in the long run. As AM says, we have to take comfort in the fact that others are managing too, and we'll manage as well.
I'm happy for you that you're pregnant and hope everything continues to go well for you, girl
Everyone deserves to be happy.
Enjoy it.
Greetings, Jaimy -

Hi!!
Okay, yeah, I totally get that you're just taking it easy and waiting!
I think I ovulated this weekend.. I definitely had all the symptoms.. and we're definitely ready to go for it again.. we'll just see what happens.. I was pregnant the first time after stopping the pill. So it was like a rollercoaster... stopped the pill on Dec 24th.. got a positive test in hand on Feb 15th and two weeks later it ended in a miscarriage.. the desire is still there and we definitely don't want to put it off..
Cheers -

With this little poem, everything fell into place... so beautiful...
The happiness was still new, The realization had only just begun.. As proud as we were, The world could know, That we were expecting.
It was a big shock, When you left life. The blow and the emptiness, Are so great.
You were still so small, A fruit to others. To us already a baby.
How small you were, Already a person to us! A boy or a girl, Which we unfortunately never got to know!
A few weeks in mom's belly, Already having to say goodbye now. Dear treasure, we will never forget you! To us you are our first child,
Dad and mom love you with all their hearts! -

Hey ladies,
I found it pretty shocking to read, just like Rosamber. I've been thinking about it all the time, wondering if everything's okay with me too. I keep telling myself that things could go really wrong, so it won't hit as hard if it turns out something's not right. I have my first appointment with the midwife on Friday and hope they'll do an initial ultrasound right away. Since last Monday, I've been collecting urine for Mothers-for-Mothers. Is anyone else doing this?

Hi ladies,
@AM.
It was definitely intense and not fun at all, obviously. That uncertainty was killing me, almost unbearable. Yes, that little one was really very strong until the very end. I felt absolutely terrible and so helpless. I still need to process that all this happened, but it will be okay. I’m also curious what the results of the investigation will be. So far, they haven’t found a reason why it went wrong.
Thank you for your strength, and I definitely draw strength from God. How are you doing now?
What a beautiful poem you wrote for that little one, very lovely.
@Jaimy
Yes, it’s all terrible, I wished it had ended differently. Hearing the heartbeat was a mixed feeling. It’s the sound you want to hear when you’re pregnant, but in my case, it was a beautiful yet scary sound. It was beautiful to hear that the heart was still beating, and scary when it stopped beating.
Thank you for caring about me; I care about you too. How are you doing now?
I will definitely get over it, thank you.
And we will definitely become super moms.
@Rosa
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy, how nice. I still remember how I felt during my pregnancy, and despite everything, it was a very pleasant feeling. Enjoy it.
My story is definitely terrible. When I read it back, I see how terrible it actually was. But anyway, I’ll get over it. I saw everything with my own eyes until the very end: how the baby was still moving, and how the heartbeat stopped, then suddenly started again. The only thing that went through my mind then was, “Come on, little one, fight,” and I fought with you. That’s the only thing I said to my little one.
Thank you for your support.
@MOBO
Congratulations on your pregnancy. What happened to us was definitely very, and then also very unpleasant. I didn’t expect it to go wrong for so many of us.
If I may give you a tip, don’t keep dwelling on the fact that it could go wrong for you too. It’s naturally terrible for us, but that’s not the case for you. Enjoy your pregnancy and keep thinking positively, of course, it’s going to be fine for you. Please don’t keep yourself busy with the idea that it might go wrong; I believe that you’re just summoning and encouraging the negative. I didn’t keep myself busy with the possibility that it might go wrong until I started bleeding. Enjoy your pregnancy, think positively. Look at baby stuff online or in stores for distraction, for example. I understand you, but it’s not necessary to think like this now because you still have a long way to go, and it’s a shame if you don’t enjoy your pregnancy. How nice, your first appointment with the midwife. I still remember how happy I was when I went to the midwife for the first time. Have lots of fun and good luck during your pregnancy.
Ladies, this is how I saw my little one for the last time. It looks exactly like mine, only this one isn’t mine.

Hi Brenda,
Oh my, that’s truly awful. I’m sorry I didn’t get to see it myself, that’s a pity, but I was already struggling enough. Anyway, things are actually going well for me now. Because I was off work for two weeks, I got a Bongo Bon voucher for a lovely staycation just the two of us. That’s so sweet! We’re really going to do it, to relax together. Bliss!
Everything will be fine with your girl.
Keep your spirits up.

Hi AM,
Yes, it was quiet here, wasn't it? I felt the same. I was just about to write something when I saw your message.
I have to go to the OB-GYN on March 29th for the first ultrasound. My doctor did give me vitamins because I was feeling tired quickly.
How are the other girls doing?
Best, AM -

Hi ladies,
I posted in the Sept/Oct topic myself and I also had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and 1 day. I noticed there were a lot of miscarriages here too, so I want to wish you all lots of strength.
I found it really hard to get my period again, and this was our little gift (we already have 2 kids), and now there's nothing more. But the question of whether or not to go for a third... that's the big question!
Love, Kate -
JaimyLiebrecht #96
Hi Kate,
Thank you so much for your support! I had an ectopic pregnancy at 7 weeks. I'm still finding it hard sometimes. It's our fertile window right now, and we're busy with renovations, hoping things will work out this time.
I understand it's tough for you too. How are you feeling? Are you aiming for a third child or...? You might think it's already worked out twice for you since you have such beautiful kids!
Love, Jaimy x -

Hi Kate,
That’s absolutely terrible!
I had a miscarriage myself with my third baby at 8 weeks, and it was awful.
But luckily, I’ve completely moved on.
I really want a third child, and my husband does too.
The gynecologist said I’d have to wait for my period again, but when it finally came, I was super happy even though it hurt so much.
This month... -
JaimyLiebrecht #98
Hi Mamiangela,
Glad to hear you're doing well. I've got some positive news from the gynecologist too: I have the same chance of getting pregnant every month because one fallopian tube is missing and so is one ovary. So we're already trying this week. And hoping for a positive result, okay? My due date is May 5th. So we'll have to wait and see.
How are you doing?
And how are the other girls?
Love, Jaimy x -
mamiangela #99
Yes, that's good too! My due date is April 27th!
So just waiting a little longer.
Yes, for me too, still just as much chance, I'm so happy.
Congratulations! Amazing news!
How are you doing?
Xxx Angela -

@ Mamiangela: That's super news too, girl! I'm happy for you. And you're going all out for it again! Good luck in advance!
Greetings xx
