@Molly; Okay.. yeah, about 3-4 more months, everything going well? Also CONGRATULATIONS of course
@Brenda! Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS, as far as I know you're the first one getting an ultrasound, seems so cool and special! I'm curious how it was. So it was quick for you too, I'm still amazed that it happened so fast for us, because I've been on the pill for 15 years. And I have a lot of familiar symptoms too, but it feels so good!
@Jaimy; I haven't quite figured out the date yet. If I calculate from the first day of my last period, my due date is October 28th, which is 4 weeks + 1 day. But my pregnancy test (digital) said 3-4 weeks pregnant on Friday and 4-5 weeks on Saturday.. So I'm curious how high my hCG is because it probably increased enormously within a day. But I also think conception happened very early after my last period day, and the test could already show positive 4 days before my expected period (Clearblue digital). I'm curious what it will turn out to be.. quite a story, but nice to type it out.

Hi everyone. First of all, congratulations to you all on your pregnancies. I’d like to join in too. My due date is October 7th, so I’m 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant, and of course I’m really happy.
How long have I been trying?
My partner and I started trying consciously on December 3rd.
My last period was on December 31st.
On February 5th I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.
Symptoms.
Frequent urination
Stomach ache + stabbing (crampy pain)
Tiredness
Urinary tract infection
Nausea
Constipation
White discharge
Cravings for foods I normally don’t like
Sometimes headaches
Sore and swollen breasts
Pregnancy mask
Despite all the symptoms, I’m enjoying my pregnancy.
Tomorrow I’m seeing my little one for the first time, so it’s very exciting.
Good luck to you all.
Best wishes, Brenda
Hi Brenda,
Congratulations to you too on your pregnancy.
I also have those stabbing and cramping pains in my belly, especially at night and in the evening. What do you think could be causing that?
Good luck with your pregnancy
.
Best wishes, Jaimy -

@ AM: I had my blood drawn yesterday and called back in the evening, and the doctor said it was positive – 6 weeks pregnant! I can have my first ultrasound on March 8th! So exciting! I'm really so happy it worked out for us; we'd been trying for 7 months, so yeah. It's really nice to be able to talk to someone about it. How old are your kids?
It's nice if it's also your first baby. I already went to a baby shop yesterday, bought 2 little hats and socks, and two packs of clothes – really cute and adorable! But now I'm waiting a bit before buying more clothes until we know what it is. Hehe
Greetings, Jaimy -

Yes, I'm going to have a blood test done at the GP on Friday
I'm curious..
That's fast, already something nice! May I ask why you're going to the gynaecologist and not the midwife?
We're 28 (me) and 30.. and you?
Totally recognizable about buying clothes, I got a Jip en Janneke romper (ws the baby room will also be Jip & Janneke, totally fan of, so I had already thought of that earlier) besides that I already bought a nursing bra because they grow enormously and my normal cup size is already too small, really very much, but well this bra fits super, I'll definitely buy more later..
Greetings
Oh yes and you want to know what it'll be, that's another discussion here, my husband doesn't want to know and I think I do (haven't decided yet, but well plenty of time to think about it) we just keep typing huh haha -

At our place, you normally go to the midwife first... that's why I asked... unless there's something wrong, then you get referred... maybe it's different for you or you call it something else?
I did too!

Yes, for us it's just the regular gynecologist, you know, hehe. And are you also so happy now that you know you're pregnant?

Hi,
Yes, me too! I'm walking around all day with a smile from ear to ear. Not exactly subtle, hehe. How are the other mamas doing? And how is your pregnancy going so far?
Best, Jaimy x -
mamiangela #28
Hi am
Yeah, it's annoying that you can't be happy at work... but just be patient and soon we'll be able to shout it from the rooftops!
No, I don't have any complaints (only sore breasts), which is why I'm testing myself every time... I still can't quite grasp it...
Yes, definitely! Didn't expect it so soon, but we're doing well... I've already called the GP to let them know.
This will be my third child...
Thanks, I'll pop by prenatal soon
Greetings, Angela
And how are the other mamas doing? xxx -

Hey Jaimy,
It's lovely to be glowing, isn't it?
Things are good here!
I'm browsing the internet... you come across so many nice things.

Hey mamiangela,
Yes, it's so wonderful to be glowing, really. Especially since it's our first pregnancy. Hope everything continues to go well for you.
Yes, that's true! I also always look online for buggies, clothes, and other fun stuff. It's really cool. You're having your third child, and what do you already have—girls or boys?
Greetings

Hi Jaimy
Definitely cool... I'm so happy with my girls
I don't care as long as they're healthy -
mamiangela #33
Oh, the tablet is going wild.
But I don't care as long as it's healthy.
Maybe I'm secretly hoping for a boy now

Hi ladies
@jaimy I was told by the midwife that having stomach pain happens because your body is changing. Your uterus is growing and your intestines are making room for it. Tip: don't worry, I walk about half an hour a day and that helps me quite a bit, the pain is less. (Just to be safe, you could also get your urine tested, it could sometimes be a bladder infection too. Not something we'd wish for, of course.)
@am. It did indeed go very quickly for us, we didn't expect it either. And yes, I don't mind those ailments much, it's just exciting.
Yesterday I got to see my little one for the first time. You can imagine how nervous I was. I had already prepared myself for a vaginal ultrasound because a normal one usually doesn't work at 7 weeks of pregnancy.
Finally, the moment arrived. The doctor told me he would first try to do a normal ultrasound. And who did we see right away? My little human! I was so happy, you could see him/her immediately, and the best part was seeing the heartbeat. I'm so proud of my little one.
That was such a beautiful experience, and you'll all experience it too, how nice.
Well ladies, enjoy your pregnancy.
Best wishes, Brenda -

Hi Brenda,
Okay, that puts me more at ease. I mainly have belly pain in the evenings and at night, but I thought it was normal because your body changes during pregnancy. I also get very sore breasts and nipples in the evenings when I want to wash and take off my bra, sometimes really tender. My boyfriend just laughs at that, hehe
.
I'm going for my first ultrasound on March 8th! So excited, we're really full of anticipation! Can't wait to see, she'll be 9 weeks then.
And when are you going to tell everyone and how?
Best, Jaimy -

Hi,
I just made an appointment with a midwife too. We can go on March 15th. Since I don't have any symptoms, it's not really tangible yet. (Apart from a bit of sore breasts and a popping feeling in my belly). I'm not really looking at baby clothes yet. We're waiting for the ultrasound first. Does everyone want to know the gender at the 20-week scan? And is everyone already thinking about names? My partner and I both like the same girl's name and we both liked it before we even met. But since the positive test, we haven't talked about names yet.
Best, -

Hi!
We've already got a few beautiful names we're going to use.. We discussed them about half a year ago or so (I always keep an eye on names) heh.. but anything is still possible heh!
For us, it's still a discussion whether we want to know what it is (I do, my husband doesn't)
@Brenda that's awesome.. seeing your baby and super that everything was okay!
Is everything okay with the rest too? -
JaimyLiebrecht #38
Hi ladies,
How are you all doing with your pregnancies?
I had some contractions last night and always had to go to the toilet, and then suddenly diarrhea, phew. I was done for.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Best, -

Hi!
Yes, I've been on the constipated side for days too, but it's normal for your bowels to be a bit off.
By the way, things aren't going well here. There's been bleeding.
Ugh... I hope it's nothing, but I'm fearing the worst. I'm allowed to see the midwife tomorrow.
Thankfully, my husband is very sweet; he helps me and supports me. -

Hi,
I’d like to join you all too. Even though I already have two kids, this forum is new to me.
Even though I’m on the pill, I’d already been feeling different for a week. I took a test yesterday and it had a faint second line, and again this morning. With a new partner of just half a year, it was quite a shock, especially since I’m on the pill... but we’re definitely going for it.
That’s why I find it nice to chat with others on a forum, because the reactions from people around us probably won’t be immediately positive. Which is understandable...
