Hey girls,
Marjolijn: Thanks! I really enjoy chatting with you all! I should have done this sooner; it feels so good talking to women who are going through the same thing.
Oh my, girl, I hope it hits for you guys! But it's good that you're going for tests, I hope they find nothing, but then at least you have some certainty.
Good luck next week! I'm really curious to hear about your experience.
I think I'm getting my period too, I'm hungry, my breasts are very sensitive, I have some headaches and a slight cramping feeling.
Well, I was hopeful this time, but you also know that it's not like that now. I find that so annoying and weird about myself! But well, you hope so much, that feeling seems to override everything. I do have support from my boyfriend, he's very calm and down-to-earth about it, like "it'll be fine, darling..."
Funny that we're on the same page, I'm rooting for you too! And if not, take it easy, enjoy your days off! And I'm thinking about doing ovulation tests too, curious how that goes.
Wipe: When I was trying to conceive, I had a lot of stress from work and I was also too thin! That wasn't so good for my body. When I started menstruating again, things started to change, and now that I'm ovulating again, my weight has evened out. Now I have my trusted, healthy, feminine curves back. Like, if you want to get pregnant, first get back in your body or something!
It's nice that you're ovulating now! Then at least you know when your fertile days are...
My breasts are a bit more sore now and see the symptoms above. I think tomorrow or Sunday my period will start.
Have a nice day too! Love, Joy -

Hey girls,
Ugh, here I go again... Getting sick on Easter... Hope I'll feel better before my egg hatches, otherwise we can't "snuggle" it.......
That's what I wanted to share for now,
Have a nice Easter!

Strength, girl. Hopefully, you'll feel better soon and be able to cuddle again

Feel better Maaike, hope you get well soon! Are you coming down with the flu?
I got my period today, it’s a relief because I already knew about it, so I’m going to enjoy the things around me this weekend.
Let’s look forward fresh and fruity...
Take care of yourself if you need to, get well soon, and hope you have a nice weekend anyway!

Hey,
Joy, that's such a bummer that you got your period, but on the other hand, there's a fresh chance next cycle! And it's totally okay to be angry/disappointed, but know that your time will come too!
I really had a high fever on Saturday... 38.8.... But luckily today I only have a slight elevation at 37.4.... But after taking a Citrosan I felt better again...
I wouldn't know what it was, but back to work tomorrow!
Hopefully I can coax my little one into cuddles tonight!
Love,
Maaike -

Hi Joy,
So glad to hear you're feeling a bit better and that your period was short this time... I'm usually bedridden for a week, so I'm always happy when it's over!
I'm doing well! Still have a cold and some headaches, but the fever's gone. I also got to work nicely today, so life goes on! My due date is still a bit off, but according to my phone app, it's April 18th!
Love,

Hey ladies,
Glad to hear you're on the mend again; fever really makes you feel awful, doesn't it?
It's impressive that you're back at work. It helps that things are improving, I'm noticing I'm getting energy again! I feel like gardening, tidying up the house, etc., and I'm looking forward to spring! Let's leave that long winter behind us and embrace new fertility, just like nature! I thought that was a nice idea... hehe
I'm curious how you'll feel in the coming weeks! I'm patiently waiting for my egg, wondering how long it'll take...

Hi Ladies,
I'm not doing so well. Last Saturday, Easter Sunday, I got my period. I had incredible pain, spent a lot of time in bed, stood under the shower, and used a hot water bottle on my tummy. On top of that, I had to go back to work after Easter. Harry and I are in a dilemma now. Whether we go for a laparoscopy and have the adhesions and cysts removed right away, or if we try to get pregnant naturally one more time. We found out that Harry is fertile, and we even said a little prayer of thanks for that. Which is why we're so torn.
If we go for the laparoscopy, we're only allowed to have safe sex, which is a disaster for me, but that's beside the point. Basically, you're not allowed to get pregnant. There's a two-week waiting period, and we have to have a consultation first. Then you need to recover from the laparoscopy, especially if they removed something. If I don't get pregnant after that and get my period again, the endometriosis just starts over, and we'd be back to square one. We're not really sure anymore; maybe we should just start IVF right away.
The gynecologist says we can change course. Maybe do IVF. At first, I couldn't take it anymore, and now Harry can't either. The diet isn't really working either, but I'm going to look for a nutritionist soon.

Hey Marjolijn,
Sorry for my late reply, but I've read your story several times and I really feel for you. I can so well imagine that you two don't know what to do right now. I can't give you advice on this, but only tell you what I would do if I were in this situation.
Personally, I would try it on my own for a few more months and, for example, talk about it again in a month.. Maybe nature will manage to get pregnant on its own. You can always enter a hospital trajectory later.... (I don't know how old you are, but do you still have time?)
I can imagine that you two can't handle it anymore, one after the other, or that neither of you can right now. These are also intensive times, in which you should not forget to enjoy each other and make time for each other.
I'd love to hear from you what you've decided to do!
Love,

Marjolijn, I'm not really following this thread, but I wanted to say something to you. They can remove endometriosis cysts during the laparoscopy, and after that, there's a good chance you'll get pregnant naturally. Plus, after removing those cysts, you'll likely have less pain during your period for a while. I'd just go ahead with the laparoscopy and see if you can get pregnant on your own. If not, you can always start with IVF later. But since your husband is healthy, you do have a chance of conceiving in the first month after the surgery. -

Hey girls,
How are you all doing?
Marjolijn, how are you? I think of you often!
I'm back on my waiting chair meanwhile... Getting little pricks in my lower belly... Only sore nipples though... And luckily no pain anywhere else
We're going to wait until the 18th again! Also chatting with my partner about how long we'll keep trying on our own before going to the GP... We'll keep trying on our own until September and then head to the GP... I'm also going to start using ovulation tests again in the meantime, because cuddling at the wrong times doesn't help either!
I hope you've all been able to enjoy the sunshine too, and wish you all a lovely week!

Hi everyone,
Maaike; I'm doing well, just patiently waiting for my egg, another surprise when it will come. I've been able to let go of it somewhat, I have to, otherwise I'd think about it too much and start doubting. Now I'm going to carry on with life and that's already helping me.
It's exciting again, your days of waiting, how do you feel now? Good that you've decided on a time, if it feels right for you, that's fine. I hope that visit doesn't have to take place
Marjolijn; How are you doing?
Greetings, Joy -

Hey Joy,
How annoying it is to wait for an egg! It's good that you've managed to let it go somewhat.
I'm feeling fine otherwise, so I'll just have to wait and see... I'll find out on Thursday.... We're going to continue with ovulation tests in the hope that it increases the chance of success!
Are you also doing ovulation tests or not?
Greetings,
Maaike -

Hi ladies, thanks for your sympathy, it means a lot to me. Tonight we have a talk with a gynecologist about our fertility test results. We also want to discuss the laparoscopy.
How I'm doing. The past week and this week are going well again. I have energy again. On Monday and Tuesday I started spotting, it didn't look like a period, and according to my app Monday was when I should have ovulated. So maybe that's why. But I didn't have any pain otherwise. Yesterday I had a huge fight with my husband. It's the fertile week again and we've only had sex 3 times. Yesterday we could have had sex too, but he put on a non-romantic movie and went snacking and smacking (I can't have chocolate and sugar, which makes it hard for me), so I went to bed angry. He didn't come to bed until 12 o'clock, while the alarm goes off at half past 5 again. Tonight we might still have a chance, but because of that appointment, I don't think it'll work out. So things were actually going really well until yesterday. Hopefully we'll get over it again. Because our relationship isn't always good. Everything is of course centered around me: pain, tiredness, wanting a child, and for Harry, his own business and a child would be nice. Again, I hope that tonight we can continue on the same footing as we did a day ago. And that he still has hope for us.
Sophia, thank you for your answer! And you're always welcome here!
It's good that you and your husband have set aside time for it, Maaike! How are you doing now?
It's great that you're so positive, Joy, that always helps. And it's good for your relationship too.
Well, another story from me, sorry about that!
Hugs, Marjolijn -

Hey Marjolijn,
That's so nice that you're having a chat tonight, and some parts of your story sound so familiar to me, for example:
- argued yesterday about when to take the pregnancy test... He just wanted to wait another five days if I needed to...
- had a conversation last week about how we need to have more sex during the fertile period otherwise there will never be a baby...
- and that part about wanting a child...
Men just don't understand us, I think...
I'm on day 29 of my cycle now... Sometimes it's longer, sometimes shorter... So wait until day 32 and then test... Last month and the month before, I only got my period on day 31, but before that it was fairly constant on day 28...
Let's just have a cup of tea and be patient
Wishing you lots of success tonight, and I'd love to hear how it went!
Love,
Maaike -

hey girls,
that sounds so relatable! We don't have any fights about whether I should take a test. I get to decide that completely on my own. And he doesn't find sex annoying at all; he even uses my strong desire for a baby to get us pregnant hahaha.
So, good luck and hopefully it'll be a hit for you guys soon! -

Hi everyone,
Marjolijn; Nice to hear from you again! I was hoping you were doing well.
Men are really different, especially during this process. Mine is very sweet and patient with me, but also so easygoing about letting go. That sometimes makes me doubt. But that's just what they can do. We can't. I also notice that during your fertile period or before/during your period, I can get really bothered by (hormones) or emotional. Men don't have that and can't relate to it much. But I do try to tell him everything, how I feel, and honestly what makes me angry or sad, then we laugh about it together. Not too much and everything, so he goes along with me and experiences my ups and downs too. But they remain men...
The tricky part is that the tensions shouldn't come between you two, I really hope you both come out of it together. Your love comes first!
I'm curious how your conversation went.
Maaike; Good luck with the waiting, girl! I really hope that's what you need! Rooting for you!
Nynke; Where are you in your cycle now?
I'm waiting for my egg, notice I'm getting a bit more mucus and craving sweet and salty things, so I'm curious. So I'm not missing my egg...
Going to get ovulation test strips, curious how that works, you'll hear about it.
Have a good weekend in advance,
Hugs Joy -

Hey everyone,
Oh no, peanut butter, it didn't work out this month either..... My plan to get pregnant before I turn 25 isn't going to happen anymore..... I'm turning 25 next week......
So starting this month, we're getting back to using ovulation tests and hugging a lot..... Hopefully, I'll be pregnant by my 25th birthday.....
Joy, good luck waiting for your egg!
Love,
Maaike -

That's so sad, Maaike! Take it easy these coming days, good weekend ahead?
I had the same thought as you, becoming a mother at 25, unfortunately that won't work out for me anymore (I'll already be 26 by the time of birth). But I really hope it works out for you! That's a nice age, isn't it?
I also bought ovulation test strips, and did one today, just curious. It was a faint line, so not yet peak. I'll keep waiting a bit longer, I expect it next week or so, because my body often reacts a week in advance.
I'm very curious about your experience with those tests.
Wishing you a sunny weekend,
Love, Joy
