Hi everyone!
I was wondering if there are any (expecting) mothers here who carry their babies.
I’m planning to use a baby wrap for my little one. My husband would like an ergonomic carrier for himself because he’s not keen on tying knots.
So if anyone here has similar plans, I’d love to exchange experiences and questions about this.

    Hi Wientje,

My baby is already 7 weeks old now, and I’ve bought a baby wrap. With my first, I didn’t dare to use one (I was afraid it wouldn’t be secure enough), but now I’m totally obsessed with carrying!

It’s nice for the baby and for you, because you have your hands free, and especially your baby gets so incredibly calm from it! I’d say you should do it! By the way, after practicing a few times, tying the knots is really a breeze.

    Good luck!

No experience with it, but it's supposed to be really ideal—hands-free, good for bonding, and helps with crying babies. You also have handy carriers that you don't need to tie, like from hiphap.nl, and you can take workshops to learn how to tie your baby wrap properly.

    Hey ladies,

I come from a carrying family. I don't know any different. My dad also sometimes says that the pram they had for me was ideal... A crate of beer fit perfectly in it while I was lying on his belly in a wrap.

I don't worry at all about tying knots. It's something natural to me, and in the past I've also carried my babysitter's child. But in an ergonomic carrier, not in a wrap.

My husband finds it a lot more exciting, because he's not used to it. But he definitely sees the advantages and wants to try it too. He just finds a wrap a bit too feminine and is afraid he won't tie it properly.

The carrier he wants can also be easily used by my dad. My dad is blind, and when my dad carried us in the past, my mom had to tie the wrap. This carrier he can use himself without help.

For my husband, we're also going to do a 'workshop' with a carrying consultant. Then he'll get more familiar with tying and carrying.

Which carrier do you have in mind and which one for your partner?
I really want to carry too!

I also love carrying him so much. My son had reflux and couldn’t lie down at all. The wraps have been our lifesaver. We’re on medication now and he’s doing really well, but we’re still carrying him. He loves it! I’ve tried quite a few wraps and carriers by now, and my favorite wrap and baby carrier are both from Artipoppe. They’re super expensive though.

Hi ladies! My daughter is almost 2 now (we’re hoping for another brother or sister, if it’s meant to be).
I still carry her! I used a wrap for the first few months. So nice, especially since she was such a difficult and restless sleeper. Then I switched to the Ergobaby 360 carrier… we have 2 labradors, and now she sits on my back when I walk the dogs. The carrier can be used in 4 different ways.
What an invention! Really a joy… and the stroller? It’s just sitting here doing nothing… luckily we got it for free and didn’t have to buy a new one.
