Doesn't matter, sweetheart! It's just very different for each person, it could have happened like that, but it can also take a long time. The same goes for bleeding, etc., etc.

Okay, your replies give me hope again that it’ll happen soon. Did you have cramps and clots for days? Here I’ve got lower back pain sometimes, a sharp pain, but otherwise it’s pretty calm. Luckily I don’t have much trouble with it, so I’ll manage until Wednesday. I do find it sad that it’s all taking so long..
Deb, I was thinking, could you accidentally be pregnant again? Did you ovulate again? That would be absolutely wonderful for you

It does indeed seem like it can take a long time. In my case, it probably felt so fast (3 hours) because the miscarriage had already started on its own, and the pills just gave it a little push. I had 2x4 pills but only used 4. I had to call if nothing happened after 48 hours, because then they'd either prescribe more or do a D&C (that's what my doctor called it). I found the waiting really tough myself. I hope they help you quickly. You've already been so patient.

Heart I think out of those 6 days, I had real bleeding with clots for about 3 days. I don't know when the gestational sac came out for me.
  5. deb95 #45

Unfortunately not, sweetheart I'm so scared that the whole cycle is now messed up. The desire has only grown bigger.
    How are you doing now?

Deb, that's so sad! Wishing you lots of strength. Your body does need time to recover.. I often hear that people get pregnant quickly after a miscarriage, so who knows!

Is it normal that I have a lot of back and stomach pain with not very much bleeding? Just like a period/slightly less.
The bleeding itself is besides red also pink mucus and sometimes a bit wound-like fluid. I don't have this discharge with a period, do you recognize that?

From your messages, San, I know you had so much pain too.. How are you doing now? Tests already negative again?

Heart; I really think that if you don't feel 100% sure about it, you should just call your midwife, girl! A miscarriage is no small thing, and I think you're just as allowed to call when you're worried or don't know if something is normal! Even if it's just for your own peace of mind. I was curetted after 2 days of bleeding like a bull and then I was free of all bleeding.. so I can't really say how it would have gone differently, but they know that. Maybe they can check with an ultrasound to reassure you whether it has already happened or not??

    Good luck with it

I do get an ultrasound, I have a really nice doctor! But we both think it's still there, because I've only lost 3 small clots..
The pain is manageable with 2pc per x. Well, I think I just have to be patient but that's pretty tough hihi. I find it really nice to hear your experiences here and share mine!

Yes, talking really helps. I couldn't find the words to talk about it and couldn't even bring myself to say the word miscarriage. I was full of shame and especially self-hatred because my body wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. Especially after the second miscarriage. I was really, really deep in it. It wasn't until after the birth of my first child that I started talking about it and could process it.

The amount of blood wasn't extreme for me. 2 days of red blood with clots and the rest old brown blood. The cramps were definitely manageable with pain relief, as you yourself mention: back and mild period cramps. For me, it was clear that the baby wasn't out until I saw it lying on a piece of paper. Surprisingly, it was a huge relief. Every body is different and everyone has different experiences. You just have to follow what you think is okay. I could talk about it and that helped, but it depends on your own character. Good luck!!

Here I had the full 5 days of bleeding and clots, it really felt like I was drained when the gestational sac came out on Friday it immediately became much less. As for the pain, I found it easier to handle than after the curettage; then I was really doubled over from the pain. Now, after giving birth to my son, I can say that the afterpains after the curettage were extreme.

Love my tests aren't completely negative yet. But they're very light. This is the one from just now. So in the afternoon with plenty of drinking etc. I really did have some severe cramps. With peaks. I'm rooting for you girl that you can move on quickly

San, do I not see a photo? Then you definitely don't have any symptoms anymore either?
I'm not taking any PCM right now, I want to know what my temperature is. I was just at 37.8 and I feel so lethargic. I read in the booklet that I should call if it's above 38. And guess what, it's Friday evening of course ....
Did you also have a fever?
You know, I feel so incredibly lonely, I've been home alone with the kids for 3 days now, I feel terrible and my husband doesn't seem to see me either, he's just so busy with his work. I'm really so glad about you guys, you're the only ones listening to me at the moment! So sweet!

Hey, by the way Deb, in my pamphlet from the clinic it says I should also call if my period is 6 weeks late.. Any ideas for you?
  15. deb95 #55

Oh girl... that's really tough I'd just call the GP in advance, especially with the weekend coming up! Big hug!
I normally have a 35-day cycle, so it's already quite long. So I'll wait one more week and then I'll call if nothing happens. Just did an ovulation test and it's completely white. Until now, there's always been a second line, light and dark. So I think my period is really coming. Hopefully we can start the new year with good news. In the meantime, enjoy our beautiful boy, because we're so blessed with him. No matter how hard the wish has been.

Oh, there's still a bit more, indeed! It's visible, yes.
I'll wait until I'm 38 weeks and think about it once the kids are in bed. I'll measure every hour. Just hit 37.9, I don't think it's going to drop much more. Bah
  18. kirstnn #58

Yeah, definitely call them soon, sweetheart. That sucks! I'm curious what they'll say.
  19. San1989 #59

Heart seriously, listen to what the other girls say if you don't feel right, just call! I didn't track my temp. But I'm never that quick with PCM or anything like that haha. Besides, I don't have any more symptoms either. Though I do get a lot of discharge sometimes but I really hope to test negative soon so I can maybe use ovulation tests to find my ovulation.

Definitely follow your gut. If you feel like something isn't right, give them a call. Your body often lets you know when something's not okay. I also think a miscarriage is a pretty lonely experience in itself. You can talk to your partner or loved ones and get support from them, but what your body goes through, how you feel about everything, and what goes through your mind—I find that really hard. That was the hardest part for me: having to go through that and feeling alone in my feelings, even though others mean well. I'm glad you're finding some support here in our experiences. Big hug.
