Hey,
In January 2018 I stopped taking the pill because we wanted a second child.
On April 13th I had a positive pregnancy test.
Unfortunately, after 10 weeks of pregnancy we were told that the baby's heart had stopped beating. On May 28th I had a curettage to remove the pregnancy.
This was about 12 weeks ago, and I still haven't had ovulation or a period..
On July 31st I went to my gynecologist, who did an ultrasound showing that everything was still. There was no egg visible..
According to the gynecologist, it's a psychological issue. Due to stress and being too focused on it, my brain is blocking the cycle, which is why I'm not ovulating.
He said there wasn't much more we could do than wait and that I need to let go and relax...
I hope to find similar stories or experiences here.
The last 3 days I've been having a really hard time with myself and my hormones. I'm very emotional and starting to lose patience.

Oh Kimberley, that's so sad! I don't have any experience with this, I'm not in that boat, but I read your message and just wanted to reply.
When people say: don't think of a pink elephant... well... then you already think of it. So saying that you shouldn't think about it... well... that sounds like an impossible task!
I did have a time where I didn't feel so good in my own skin. I used to write down every day, in bed at night, 3 small things from the day that were nice. That I laughed about something, that I ate well... sometimes really tiny things that made the day nice.
Maybe you could try it in the coming weeks. Write down 3 things from the day that made you happy every evening. Maybe it helps to slowly program your head to be more positive again.
A loving hug and lots of success!

It’s impossible not to think about it, but don’t stress yourself by thinking that if you think about it too much, you won’t ovulate! What you can do is try to approach it with a more positive mindset. Or give yourself some breathing room first. So think, “I’m going to assume nothing will happen in the coming months, and I’ll find some distraction in other fun things.” You can still think about it, but don’t expect anything from your body right now. I had an early miscarriage last November, and it took almost five weeks before I ovulated again. And that was all less intense than what your body has been through. But I got pregnant right after that ovulation, so it can happen quickly again. I hope your body recovers soon. Good luck!
