Pink discharge

Hi ladies,

This is probably a question that comes up often, but I’d like to ask it again. I stopped taking the pill a week ago. I had my withdrawal bleed two weeks ago, started a new pack, but quickly decided to stop because we really want a second baby. For the past couple of days, I’ve had some cramps and headaches, and today I suddenly got some pink discharge. Could this be related to coming off the pill, or could I already be pregnant? I’m wondering this mainly because I only took the pill for a few days after the break week. We did have unprotected sex in the meantime.

Best wishes

It could also be ovulation bleeding (or you'd have to have a really short cycle, since you were still on your period two weeks ago), but it could indeed also be withdrawal bleeding from the pill, causing some bleeding in between.

Headaches, cramps, and some bleeding in between can be normal after stopping the pill, but they can also be signs of an upcoming ovulation.
Since you only stopped the pill a week ago, the chance of pregnancy is quite small.

If I read it correctly, you had your withdrawal bleed 2 weeks ago. Then you started a new pack, but stopped pretty quickly. It's normal that you're having some pink discharge now. It'll probably be another withdrawal bleed. You can't be pregnant because you haven't ovulated yet.
