When is the first period?

Hi everyone!

I took my last pill on January 9th, and then I had my withdrawal bleed.

Now I'm just waiting to see when my first real period will come... exciting!

How long did you all wait for your first period after stopping contraception? I know it varies a lot from person to person, but I'm curious!

    Hi,
    My first cycle was 25 days long, so about 3 weeks after my withdrawal bleed.
    This hasn’t changed much after 4 months:
    25, 26, 29, and 27 days.

    But I’ve also heard stories from women where it took half a year before they got their period again.
    I hope your cycle gets back on track soon!

    Just to clarify.
    I stopped taking the pill on October 6th and got my first real period on November 4th

    That's fair enough... I've also read that it can take up to a year.. it's been worrying me a bit.. I've had terrible headaches for the last 3 days, and I've read that that can be a side effect of "ontpillen"

    I have a stable cycle and even after stopping the pill, it has remained the same at 25 days.

    I stopped on April 1st, had a withdrawal bleed, and then got my period again on May 4th. So I had a 29-day cycle right away. :-) Seems pretty okay, right? I'm curious to see how things go from here.

    I got pregnant right away after stopping the pill, just 35 days later, so I don't know what's normal for me. At 26 weeks, the pregnancy went wrong, and now I'm waiting to see how things settle down after giving birth. I got headaches every month, so I don't know if that's from coming off the pill. It could very well be! I didn't have any issues during the pregnancy, so it's probably a hormone thing.
