Tips for getting pregnant

Welcome to the forum where many girls have been trying for 3 years already. Not everyone gets pregnant within 3 months, even though it might seem that way. I'd say to expect at least a year; according to the statistics, 90% are pregnant within a year. And that can even happen in the 12th month.
As for people who get pregnant quickly or not so quickly, it has nothing to do with fairness. It's something that everyone gets, you can't plan or force it.
Good luck and hopefully you'll hold a test in your hands soon (and then you have to wait 8!!! months before you finally hold your baby in your arms).
In the meantime, enjoy chatting on the forum!

Hi girl. You're probably doing everything right and there's nothing wrong, you just "happen" to be part of the majority that don't get pregnant right away within 3 months. Very frustrating, especially because those who do get pregnant quickly make it obvious, and women who take longer don't tell anyone. This gives you a skewed picture. For me, it took 7 months. At that point, we were thinking exactly what you're thinking now: Is something wrong? Why aren't we pregnant while everyone around us is? We got so frustrated. So we decided to stop trying for a while, at least no contraception, but also no ovulation tests and no focusing on getting pregnant, because it made us so sad that it wasn't working yet. You can guess what happened: that month we got pregnant and couldn't believe it. After 7 cycles, we finally got it right, and now we're already 8 months pregnant!

The pill/contraception kept you from getting pregnant for years. Give your body some time to baby-proof your uterus.

It's completely normal not to be pregnant yet, but I think 30% are after 3 months. Comfort yourself with the idea that 90% are pregnant within a year. It took me 6 months, and I have friends who were pregnant after 1 or 2 months, but also friends who took 10-14 months. So I understand you're worried.. , I used to worry every month too, but you're really not taking too long without results. Those friends who took longer are also very healthy (healthy eating, moderate with alcohol, non-smokers), while I still enjoy the good life, regularly have a drink, and was also a occasional smoker. Have faith in your body... and then.. at the moment you least expect it:

    Hi Meid1987,
My husband and I have been busy 'making' our first baby since May, but unfortunately without luck yet. I know exactly what you're going through. It seems like everyone gets pregnant earlier than you and it works for them in 1-2 tries. Sometimes I also have doubts, but I think you just need to be lucky. I've noticed that since I started two months ago, doing ovulation tests has helped me let go of things a bit more. I know exactly when my ovulation is, so when the two most fertile days are. This way you increase your chances of getting pregnant.
I've also stopped drinking caffeine (no more cola or coffee) and have been taking folic acid tablets for almost half a year. My husband and I didn't smoke or drink anyway.
I hope you'll have a positive test in your hands soon!

These stories do me good. I'm not a smoker myself, my partner has quit and together we do everything we can to live as healthy as possible..
After my period, I'm going to start using ovulation tests, maybe that'll give me a bit more peace of mind instead of "oh no, we have to do it now!!"
Sometimes you can't share your story with friends/family, so this is a nice solution.

    Hi everyone,
I'm new here, looking for a forum where I can get some help and tips. I've been on the pill (Deso 30) since I was 14, and I'm now almost 21. My partner and I really want to have a baby. Some might say we're young, but we both have stable jobs, a place of our own, and a strong relationship. The only thing is, I'm worried that I might be infertile—I just can't stop thinking about it. I stopped taking the pill on August 28th, so it's been almost 4 months now. If I've done my research correctly, it usually takes about a year on average to get pregnant.
Friends and acquaintances have already become pregnant within 2-3 months.
Does anyone know how long it takes after stopping the pill?

    Kind regards,
    Sterre

    Hey ladies,
It’s nice that there’s a forum, right? Especially if you really can’t share it with anyone else... After all, you do want it to remain a surprise.
I stopped in September myself. Then in October, I still had a period from the pill.
After that, a cycle of 26 days and then one of 31 days. So now we’re just waiting to see how long this one will last. Sometime this week, according to my calculation, I should ovulate.
If it doesn’t work out in January, I’d like to try using ovulation tests next round. Maybe that’ll give me some peace of mind.
I’m also wondering whether I’m infertile or not... It’s probably always lurking in the back of my mind. We also have a real chance, since my husband had chemo and radiation... But we’re only allowed to get tested after a year... First, we’ll try on our own. So that’s what we’re doing. And who knows, maybe it’ll work out somewhere in 2018...

    Exciting, D.L!
Unfortunately, I got my period this morning after a very long cycle of 34 days (previously 27/28).
    I'm rooting for you ladies!

Hi ladies. It's nice to read these posts. All my friends got pregnant in the first month they tried. And a lot of people around me got pregnant even while on the pill. Others, acquaintances, took years.
I've been off the pill for almost 3 months now and my period just won't come I feel like I belong to the group where it'll take 2-3 years. I try not to focus on it because then it won't work, but I'd really love for my cycle to just come.

But as they say: patience and it'll come unexpectedly

    Hey girl
You hear more often that women are pregnant. And because you're dealing with it yourself, you probably see a lot of pregnant women around you too. Don't get discouraged. My husband had a semen analysis done 4 months ago. He can't stop smoking or drinking. And his test was good. So don't let anyone tell you what's good for you and what isn't. The most important thing is that you keep enjoying each other
