No idea. Semen can vary from day to day and from man to man. Lots, little, white, clear. Liquid, thicker.
It all has to do with his condition, being under the weather, variation in food/drink, how long since the last ejaculation, etc. If there's a maximum of 36 hours between ejaculations, then it's good quality. If you're really unsure, you can always give a sample to the doctor for checking. (After consultation)

I think that's pretty normal. I've seen it too sometimes. Some times it's a bit like you describe, and other times it's more transparent and watery.

Thank you so much for your responses!! This reassures me a lot; in the past, after that one time, his sperm was normal again, luckily. Maybe I'm being too anxious, but I want to do everything right since it's our first baby, hence the little bit of insecurity.

    Exciting, huh, baby!

Hihi, I totally get it—you really do start noticing everything! I bet if there were a forum for guys (who’d actually want to chat about it), they’d have a thread open too... “Strange discharge, HELP???”

For women, discharge often changes throughout the cycle; lots, little, creamy, watery, lumpy, yellowish... and for men too, it varies; lots, little, thin, thick, white, clear, etc! Enjoy all those weird things together, and a healthy little one will surely come along, sweetheart!

Yes, it's really exciting!! We really want a baby and hope it happens soon. We're still pretty young (24), so I hope that helps a bit
Haha, yeah, I think so too, Merel! Men are usually not as open as women, at least not my partner, haha. And you're absolutely right that discharge and sperm can vary each time, but since it hardly ever happened, I got a little panicked

I've noticed that too sometimes, that it's a bit clunkier. I don't think that can do any harm, indeed. Good luck!

super thanks Clautjuh! Now we're crossing our fingers, tomorrow we're going to try it

We're also in our fertile days now, so we're feeling the tension in the coming weeks.

That's so nice, Clautjuh! Wishing you lots of success, thumbs up for you!

Bibi, have fun trying! Clau too! How are you going to approach it?

    Hi Merel, thanks!
We tried this afternoon. We do foreplay first because I read somewhere that sperm from an aroused man is "better," or maybe it's not true haha, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take! We'll try again tomorrow evening, I'm so curious, hope it works!
It's weird but I really feel like it hit, don't know why but I won't hope too much so it won't be a letdown.
Are you guys trying too, Merel, or are you already pregnant?
    Love, Bibi

Hi Bibi, I heard that too and I always find predicting sooo much fun, hihi! But how did you do the gender stuff? I keep reading that you can do a lot to increase your chances!

We just had a little girl and are cautiously thinking about hopefully having another one! Not very serious yet, but we're not being careful at all if you know what I mean!

    Hi Merel!
Yeah, we also find predicting really fun
When it comes to sex, we actually do doggy style, so that the sperm goes in as deep as possible and there's a better chance that the sperm cells reach my egg hihi. After my partner has finished, I lie on my back for about 5 minutes with my legs up against the wall to keep the sperm in longer. I also read somewhere that it can help haha!
Aahh, super nice! Congratulations again on the little girl How did you handle it back then?

    Hi Bibi,
My husband has this too, I'm looking into the cause, which is how I ended up here. But we have 3 healthy kids, so you don't need to worry about it!
