Lower back pain radiating down to the legs

Hi everyone!

I have a maybe weird question, but I was wondering if more ladies experience this? I've recently had pain in my lower back that sometimes radiates all the way down to my legs, giving me a really weird, limp feeling in my legs. It feels like they're super weak, like I might not have enough strength and could collapse. According to my husband, I start limping a bit. The right side is worse than the left. I really need to sit down, and I can clearly feel that it stems from the lower back pain. When I sit, the normal feeling in my legs returns. I do need a chair with back support, though, not a stool or something. After sitting for a while, it goes away, and then it's over. I find this so annoying and weird... Does anyone recognize this, or know what it is and how to prevent it?

Kind regards, S

    Hi,
I'm 17 weeks pregnant and sometimes have really bad lower back pain. It doesn't shoot down my legs though. According to my gynecologist, this is because the uterus is growing and pressing on my back.
It helps a bit to lie down with my legs elevated.

Thanks Dorine for your reply, I'll try that too, maybe it'll help me too! Hope it goes away quickly. Greetings

''Cramps'' in the lower back are indeed often due to the uterus growing. Doesn't feel nice, so just take it easy. If you're experiencing round ligament pain, I'd say avoid heavy lifting, lots of stair climbing, or bending over.

Sure thing! Don't worry about it! Totally normal, I deal with it myself every day.

Essther is lying! She's not pregnant at all, JONGUH
