I always had fertile mucus both before and after. So in total about 9 days, which meant I couldn't rely on knowing exactly when my ovulation was. (somewhere in between, I guess ) You can spot stretchy mucus from thousands of others once you've seen it once. It's clear and really very stretchy. It looks a lot like egg white. And I also found it felt quite weird

Hi, I still have that white mucus.
It’s indeed a bit stretchy and white in color.

But now I just did an ovulation test because it’s not supposed to be used with morning urine, and it only shows a very faint line. You’d think I’d have a thick, dark line by now, but no.

@wendy sometimes the mucus comes first and then ovulation. Sometimes ovulation comes first and then the mucus. I think it varies from person to person.

Wendy, I had fertile mucus for 7 days and then only got my ovulation.

Hey ladies, my fertile mucus is almost gone.
I did have a lot of it for two days, let's say. May 8th and 9th.
But today I just got a positive ovulation test in my hands.
We had sex on May 8, 9, and 10.
So today we're doing it one more time extra

One thing I'm wondering is, when I got my period and had that brownish discharge then.
Was that okay? Like, did my egg grow and mature properly? Brown blood is usually old blood, I read. What I'm trying to say is that I'm a bit worried about the egg or whether it's okay. This because of that brownish discharge instead of normal red bleeding. (It was my first normal period after stopping the pill).

    Wendy,
I often had brown blood on the first day of my period.
After stopping the pill, I got my period on April 4th, but now I haven't anymore! I'm 5 weeks pregnant now.
I kept track of everything via a period app; according to the app, my ovulation was on April 18th. On April 20th, I lost some stuff for 2 days, and even when wiping, there was brownish mucus, but it was very minimal. I immediately thought it was implantation bleeding, so I tested 3 days before my expected period and it was positive. Now I read that it couldn't have been implantation bleeding that soon.
But to get back to your question, you shouldn't worry about brown discharge.

    Hi ladies,

I'd like to join in, it's super exciting again! We're trying for a second baby and I'm 30 years old.
I took my last pill on Monday and just had my last withdrawal bleed. I also have an ovulation app but will also use tests. My husband was on holiday for a week exactly during my egg release, but according to the app, next weekend is slightly fertile, so hopefully my body cooperates and the tests will confirm that later. Otherwise, the one-year mark will be over.

Good luck to everyone with the chores and being on the waiting list again!

Hi everyone, it's so interesting to read your stories. We're in a similar situation. April 12th was the last pill taken, and last Friday my withdrawal bleed was over. I'm so curious how it'll go for us! Hope it'll work out pretty quickly! I thought I'd be in a different spot. More like, I'll just stop and we'll see. But now that we're trying, you'd rather it happened yesterday than today????

    Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum. I really enjoy reading all the posts and find so many things relatable.
My partner and I have also decided to try for a baby.
I'm 31 years old and stopped taking the pill on June 1, 2020, after finishing the pack. I got my withdrawal bleed on June 5 and was supposed to start the next pack on June 9 after the break week.
Because I got very excited and impatient, I couldn't wait for my first period, so my partner and I started trying to conceive right away.
I haven't noticed any changes in my body at all since stopping.
I'm now waiting impatiently to feel something that means either I'm getting my period (so I know I'm still "doing it" hahaha) OR that what I'm feeling are pregnancy symptoms.
I've already bought a pregnancy test just in case.
We're "practicing" about 2 or 3 times a week, and I also bought an ovulation test from Kruidvat yesterday. I tested around 4:00 PM yesterday and again today, but both results were negative (no second line). Does this only mean I'm not close to ovulation, or is there also a chance I could already be pregnant? Because if you're already pregnant, there's no ovulation, right?
I do know that I'm getting very insecure and wish I could worry less about it and be more patient, haha.
I'm so curious whether I'll have to wait a long time for my period to come or if it'll happen very quickly.

Angela, if you're pregnant, your ovulation has already passed, usually about two weeks before your expected period. Do you know when your egg was released? An ovulation test will often also show positive during pregnancy, even though that's not what they're meant for.
  11. Angela89 #111

Hi Mila, yesterday's ovulation test showed a faint line, and today's one was very dark. But since this morning, I've had all day long some "goings-on" at the bottom of my belly – a fairly full/bloated feeling and occasional light cramping and rumbling. Could this be related to implantation? If my cycle goes the same as when I was on the pill, I shouldn't get my period until June 30th. I also suddenly had some white, sticky discharge, whereas the other days I hardly had any.

    Hi everyone,
My partner and I are also trying for our first baby. I took my last pill on June 15th and had my period from June 18th to 25th.
Starting June 28th, I began using ovulation tests because I was quite curious whether things would kick in right away after being on the pill for 8 years.
Last night, I already found my LH peak!
I'm really eager to see if it'll work out right away.
  13. Nadia #113

Becca, how lovely that you've already found your LH peak after the pill. That can indeed happen right away, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't work out immediately. Your body sometimes needs a little time to get back into rhythm. Just try to keep the stress down for now; it doesn't matter so much whether you conceive now or later.
