frustrating

Hi everyone!
I stopped taking the pill at the end of August.
On November 7th, I got my natural period (for the first time).
Then again on December 6th, for the second time. I was super happy because that meant it was a 'normal' cycle!
This time, though, it lasted 13 days...
Normally, I should have gotten my next period on Wednesday, January 4th.
Today (January 11th), I still haven't gotten it... A pregnancy test (Kruidvat) was also negative yesterday...
I find it super frustrating because I really want to get pregnant!
Has anyone else experienced this?

I completely understand how incredibly frustrating that must be. I haven’t experienced it myself, but a friend of mine has. She had very irregular cycles—sometimes 50 or 60 days apart.
It can take 9 months to a year for your cycle to return after stopping the pill.

    Hey Ellen!
I've been off the pill for 1.5 years already.. you can find my cycle in my profile. The last few months it's been very regular, around 35 days, but now I'm on day 56. It might also be related to the fact that I probably had an "early" miscarriage this month. But I've only been having very regular periods for a few months now. I was on the pill for 15 years, so it took me a good year to get to a few months of around 35 days, and a blip can still happen now and then. The doctor also said I first had to "come off the pill" for a year before they would do more. Now I'm getting an examination by the gynecologist soon, but this is more for control and because getting pregnant is taking too long for me. So don't worry and give your body at least a year to get back on track

Totally understandable!!! And really annoying, but it can indeed take a long time to regulate... With my first time it was 77 days, then always around 40/46 days, and now for a while it's been 31/32 days, almost a year later...

Stopped here since October. And only had 2 cycles so far, each lasting 40 to 41 days... Wondering if you can even get pregnant with such long cycles...

Yes, sure. If you actually have an ovulation? I use special ovulation tests for this, but it's quite difficult with an irregular cycle. I had a cycle of more than 70 days, but last week I had a great ovulation test + I really felt the ovulation. Now 5dpo so waiting

No idea when ovulation is here... If it doesn't work out after the 6th cycle, I'll also buy some ovulation tests.
