Totally confused

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused... hopefully you guys can help me out. My last period started on September 17th. So my ovulation should have been around October 1st. I tested a lot with ovulation predictor kits during this time, but I only ever saw a faint line. On October 6th, I finally got a dark line. We went for it! Now I'm hearing that ovulation actually happens 2 days later than the test shows. How does that work exactly?

Since October 6th, I've had some light period-like cramps a few times a day. Does anyone know what that means? It seems like my ovulation was late... officially, I should get my period on October 15th. Hopefully not. Also, I've had a lot of discharge since October 6th, but it's been less since today. I really hope this time it works... When should I start testing? I keep reading all sorts of different stories online, and it's really confusing me.

    Hi Donya,

You're right that you ovulate 1-2 days after a positive OPK. But if you had some cozy time together those days, that's totally fine. It keeps things going in your body for a little while

Basically, you're still 2 weeks past ovulation, so you could test now.

As for discharge, period-like pain, etc., I wouldn't worry too much about it. It can be either implantation or your period coming. Your body sometimes plays tricks on you.

The only thing you can do is wait... And sometimes that takes a while.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. So I can assume that I won't get my period this Saturday? Which is what should officially happen. I always have a 28-day cycle. A few days before my period, there's some dark brown discharge. Now it's still white and a lot. Does that also mean I can start testing from Thursday next week?

Of je zwanger bent, dat weet ik natuurlijk niet
