Miscarriage
MamaNaoufieGuest ·
Hi ladies,
I hope someone can offer me some support or advice.
I’m a mom to a beautiful 15-month-old son. Last Saturday, I had my first miscarriage during my second pregnancy. I had my first ultrasound last Thursday. According to the calculations, I should have been 9 weeks pregnant, but the baby measured only 5.5 weeks. The midwife said it could just be a later conception, but honestly, I already knew. On Saturday morning, I started spotting when wiping, which confirmed to me that I was unfortunately going to miscarry. Around 5 PM, I lost the baby.
I’m religious and can accept that God gives and takes. This helps me rationalize it, but it doesn’t erase the sad feelings that come up from time to time. I really want a second child, but I now know it’s not just about wanting, but about getting pregnant. I’m wondering whether I should try to conceive again right away or if I should take some time to process it first, and how do I do that? How will I know when I’ve given myself enough time? Has anyone here experienced this?
Also, I don’t know if I’ll even ovulate after this bleeding. I’d love to go through a pregnancy again, but the fear of another miscarriage is really strong now.
To the ladies who have also experienced a miscarriage or are trying for a baby, I hope this happens to you soon!
Best wishes, MamaNaoufie. xxx
