Hey ladies,
You guys haven't posted anything here in ages, what a shame. Well, enjoying the beautiful weather haha. If I could handle it, I wouldn't sit inside either hahaha...
I can handle it when it's around 20 or 22 degrees, that's nice, but not 24 to 26 or rising, oh my, what heat....
Just a small update from me. Um, I've been on my period from the 10th to the 15th, very strange. Normally I'm really just on it for about 10 or 11 days. I don't understand it at all, but well, I've already ordered ovulation tests and pregnancy tests online. First of all, they work perfectly fine and there's always a proper leaflet included, and secondly, it's much cheaper than buying them in the store. 10 ovulation tests for 6.75, that really can't get any cheaper, I thought... Same with pregnancy tests, they all have discount packs too... Hihihi. If I want to test now, I'll do that and won't have to think "no, I still have a few days left" hahaha.
Girls, hope to hear from you soon.
Love, Bianca

Hi Bianca,
So, it's cooled down a bit after those hot days? It was lovely weather, and indeed, I'm not much on the computer then. Instead, I'm enjoying being outside with my daughter
That's indeed cheap! Hope it brings a bit of luck this month

Hi Bianca,
How long is your cycle? For example, I have a 33-day cycle with ovulation on the 20th day. Keep testing, it will happen!

Hey Sophia,
Nice that you left a message. I'll try to explain briefly:
I've been off contraception for over two years now (maybe almost three), on the advice of an internist because of bleeding on my liver, probably due to the pill...
But briefly, all that time I had regular periods every third month, so a cycle of about 30-31 days... Nothing wrong... But now for a few times I've been on time, last time about nine days late, and I'm always on for about 10-11 days... Now this has been going on for about two to three months, but only for five days, which is really irritating and causes a lot of uncertainty. Every time negative tests.. :-( It's just awful to see every time..
But anyway, thanks for your positive message...
Love, have a nice evening -

Hi Bianca,
I know what you mean when you say you're fed up with those negative tests... I've been at it for over a year.
Is this your first month using ovulation tests? Then you still need to figure out your ovulation. Because not all women have a luteal phase of 14 days. Maybe yours is shorter, or you just had a slightly longer cycle this month.
By the way, how was your test today?
I've used several brands of ovulation tests. This month I used the Clear Blue digital one. I find them much clearer than the rest. You don't have to compare two lines. You get a smiley on the test when your ovulation is approaching. My ovulation is next week.
I hope that soon we can be positive not only on our ovulation tests, but on the pregnancy tests too!
Best,
Sophia -

Hey Sophia,
Thanks for your quick reply. My test from yesterday was negative and today's was negative too. I did ovulation tests once before, that was about two or three months ago I think, and I caught my ovulation right away. But the funny thing is that after that I got a weird cycle. Before that it was always neat, every third of the month, and a cycle of about 30 days. Now it's completely messed up, and I got my period on the 11th of the month with a sudden 38-day cycle, and I was 9 days late then... This past month I got my period on June 10th and now it's wait and see... I've been doing ovulation tests since June 20th and haven't found it yet unfortunately... I find it very strange, it's weird that my body lets me down after about three years and starts doing its own thing hihi..
And now about you, geez girl, you've been at it for over a year wow, I hope you get a positive test in your hands soon.. Do you have a nice cycle that doesn't let you down? Or also long late periods and then negative tests :-( I'm rooting for you that it happens soon.. And indeed Clear Blue is a good brand, but with pregnancy tests I find them a bit less good, because they just need a lot of hCG hormone, very annoying. Better to use the regular tests from Kruidvat. I actually have tests from 123thuistesten now, much cheaper than the first ones and I heard they are just as good as Kruidvat etc etc.. 10 tests for less than 10 euros and they also have value packs :-) maybe good for someone else to know that it can also be cheaper, and that it works just as well
Love Bianca
Good luck and strength and fingers crossed for a positive result this month :-) -

Hi Bianca,
I also got a positive ovulation test yesterday. Today is my ovulation day. It's nice that we're right next to each other in our cycle! Then we can count down together to our TWW!
And hopefully get a positive pregnancy test together!
There are early pregnancy tests you can take 4 days before your TWW. the Kruidvat 2 for 5 euros is a good test.
I haven't had good experiences with the early tests myself. I think it's a waste of money. I would wait until your TWW to test. But you should of course do what your gut tells you. If you already get symptoms before your TWW, then I would also try an early test! If your ovulation is tomorrow, you can take an early test on July 11th or a regular pregnancy test on July 14th. Good luck! Keep me posted!

Heyy Sophia
How funny, so we're ovulating at the same time, that's really nice...
We'll indeed count down together haha, so exciting :-)
I'm really curious what this month will bring us...
And when are you actually due for your period? Mine is around July 10th, so I'm really curious, and these are just days where you need a lot of patience haha, which I don't always have, so then I do a test a bit earlier, well actually it's just a matter of holding out hahaha... Really nice that we're going through this together.. That means countdown time
Love, Bianca
I'm currently using 123 tests... But I always hear positive stories about the Kruidvat ones in the evening..
Have a nice evening and we'll keep each other posted.. -

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question. I think I felt my ovulation for the first time, which I’ve never really felt before, hehe. I was wondering if anyone recognizes the feeling of being constantly nauseous during ovulation? It’s because when we were trying to conceive, haha (to keep it neat and all, haha), I immediately felt nauseous afterwards. I still have that feeling now, and it hasn’t gone away. :-)
Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Bianca,
How are you doing with the nausea?
I think I've only felt my ovulation once. Last cycle. I had a positive OPK test the day before. I was at work that day and had a clear number of stabs in the lower right side of my belly. The next day my temp started to rise, which indeed means that my ovulation had already occurred. I don't recognize that nausea. But everyone experiences ovulation differently. I usually have tender breasts in the period between ovulation and my period. I have that now too.
You said you want to do a sensitive test. When are you going to do that? My due date is July 15th. That day we're going on vacation to Greece. I'm wondering if I should test a day earlier. Then I'll definitely know where I stand.
Lots of love,
Sophia -

Hey Sophia,
Glad you got back to me! Well, my Nod is actually July 10th, based on last month because the month before I was 9 days late, and then I got it on the 11th... I was normally pretty regular, getting my period every third of the month. So I'm really curious, it's an exciting month again and I'll let you know. I'm still feeling nauseous, and I've also got heartburn, ugh, that doesn't make me feel good because it keeps coming back. But anyway, I don't really know where that's coming from since I never have that normally. I do have a bloated feeling, a hard tummy, you know, and sore breasts, etc.
I did say earlier, well if I go by the 10th and count four days from that, I'm on the 6th, so I think I'll give it a try between the 6th and the 10th. But it's annoying to read a negative result again. Maybe I'm testing too early or something, I don't know. I'm not sure what to do, because I really want to know, hahaha, logically speaking
So an exciting time is upon us! You're five days behind me, really exciting. And indeed, I'd take a test before you go on vacation, otherwise you'll just stay in that uncertainty. So you might as well know for sure, right?
Well, I'll talk to you - I hope to hear from you soon.
Lots of love, Bianca
Have a good night and a nice day tomorrow :-) -

Hey Sophia,
Thanks for your message, I'll try to explain briefly haha..
I've been doing ovulation tests since June 20th, this test was positive on June 30th, as I saw it, July 1st was even more visible.. July 2nd was half and half and I already had doubts but my ovulation was probably already gone by then I think, my temperatures were between 36.9 and 37.1 at that time. I took my temperature today and it was 37.4 today, rising to 37.6, I'm not sure what this means but I do know it's a bit higher than the other days, thanks for your advice anyway about an early pregnancy test.. The info I can still give you is that anyway if my ovulation was on the 30th as indicated on the test that I had sex two days before, so let's say the 28th (s) had sex on the 29th.. On the 30th and the first and the second, then I know they say that every other day is better, but then I read further and it says just do extra around ovulation because then you have more chance, so sometimes I don't know anymore hahaha... I'm getting impatient and sometimes a bit crazy...
I'm still nauseous with waves, but not as bad as yesterday and the day before, cramps/stomach pain on the left is still there, watery eyes, temperature increase as I mentioned above, Uhm big breasts but they are soft.. That was pretty much it let's not forget bursting headache that lasted 3 to 4 days, today fortunately a bit better with the headache, and now I know that all this is coincidentally pregnancy symptoms but also for menstruation that should come... But I thought it was like that I was menstruating on the 10th last month, I have a cycle of 30 days... I calculated with a pregnancy calculator that I should get my period again around the 10th, so I don't understand how you come to the 15th... I only know that I have a late ovulation, because I've already researched that.. But okay..... Tests will have to wait, I'll probably do them around the tenth of yours... Good or not hahaha
And how are you doing, I'd like to know, everything okay with you?
Any crazy things or symptoms yet?
Love Bianca
Have a nice evening -

Hi Bianca.
Let me explain how I came up with that due date.
You calculate your due date using an ovulation calendar based on the length of your previous cycles, so 30-31 days. But you yourself say that your last few cycles haven't been regular anymore. Then you should base your calculation on your ovulation.
You said you had a "very clear" positive ovulation test on June 30. The leaflet of every ovulation test states that your test is positive 24-48 hours before ovulation. That means your ovulation was on July 1. The average luteal phase of a woman (the phase between ovulation and due date) lasts 14 days. If your ovulation was on July 1 + 14 days = July 15 due date. For more info you can google "luteal phase".
I don't have any symptoms anymore, except for sensitive breasts. It would be super cool if they ever make a pregnancy test that you can use right after having sex to find out if it worked or not, then we'd never have to wait anymore, hehe.
Greetings,
Sophia -

Good afternoon everyone,
Just a quick update, I haven't gotten my period yet so Sophia's calculations seem to be pretty accurate and it makes sense when you think about it...
It was really weird, my brother just made a comment and it came across so poorly that I had to cry, it was really strange... While maybe I should have just laughed normally and said "behave yourself"... It was quite a crying fit, I wonder if it's all really in my head, gosh..
Hope to hear from you soon,
Love Bianca

Hi Bianca,
I’ve unsubscribed from Brabbels, which is why you haven’t heard from me. We’re now part of a group of ladies on Facebook who all have the same due date.
I was just browsing Brabbels and saw that you’d posted again, so I naturally read your update right away
It’s a shame you still don’t know yet. Just a few more days of patience and then you’ll know more, right? When are you planning to take another test?
Everything’s still going well here. I’m almost 23 weeks pregnant now. We can’t wait for November to finally arrive. Last November, as I told you, I gave birth to a little girl at 21 weeks, so in total I’ve been pregnant for more than a year now, and my body is really feeling the strain.... But we’re lucky that it wanted to happen again, and that I get to carry another little miracle in my belly. This one is really active in there. Truly enjoying it!
I won’t go into too much detail about this with you, though, since you’re already dealing with so much, and hearing these kinds of things probably isn’t very pleasant for you right now, I imagine
I’ll check in over the next few days to see if you’ve posted any updates, and I’ll definitely reply then
Love,
Mamavan2 -

Hi mamavan2,
First off, it’s so nice that you’re sharing again,
It’s really nice to hear from you again
It’s great to read that you’re doing well and that your little wonder is being very active.... And yeah, it’s only natural that your body is asking for a lot of energy right now; it’s no small feat, especially considering everything you’ve already been through...
It’s a relief that your little one is doing so well now
and that makes everything feel positive again. Of course, there are certain things you’ll never forget, but moments like these make up for so much...
I can tell you that a test isn’t necessary anymore at this point; I got my period this morning and had a good cry about it,
Oh my, how I hate this every month, those damn little devils that keep breaking through. It’s really getting to me...
So when will I get that positive test?? Well, it’s not that easy to say after the next cycle. I can really sit with the thought that it didn’t work again for days. By the way, I don’t really understand it because they say that when your period starts, your temperature goes down, and then you have the same temp as during ovulation. I don’t know who came up with that, but it doesn’t match my experience. During ovulation, I had 36.9 / 37.0, and now it’s been high all week, and yesterday it even went up to 37.4, reaching 38... So it’s not accurate...
mamavan2, I wish you all the best
I’m happy for you and hope to hear from you soon..
xxx and lots of love, Bianca -

Hi ladies!
I'm fairly new here but would love to join in the conversation.
I'm now 3 days overdue and still had a negative test this morning... Could it still turn positive? Is there any difference between pregnancy tests? I've tried the DA brand test now...
